Ranchers and farmers at the southwest border of the United States have reported finding ‘prayer rugs’ on their property according to one interviewed by the Washington Examiner.
“There’s a lot of people coming in not just from Mexico,” the rancher said. “People, the general public, just don’t get the terrorist threats of that. That’s what’s really scary.”
“You don’t know what’s coming across,” she added. “We’ve found prayer rugs out here. It’s unreal. It’s not just Mexican nationals that are coming across.”
The rancher is located in Animas, New Mexico, where six other residents allegedly told the Examiner that migrants from areas other than Mexico and Central America have been arriving.
This little cabin near the New Mexico border was passed down from her grandparents, who were also ranchers. It’s located a few miles from her actual home. She said she can’t maintain it b/c smugglers are regularly using it. “They’ve trashed it,” she said. https://t.co/RDYJMlMC1y

“What Border Patrol classifies as OTMs [other than Mexicans] has really increased in the last couple years, but drastically within the last six months,” she claimed. “Chinese, Germans, Russians, a lot of Middle Easterners.”
I’m back on the border and this time I’m meeting with ranchers & farmers in a small New Mexico town located 50 miles north of the border. They say more than Central Americans & Mexicans are illegally entering the US — and traveling through their property. https://t.co/dlEfRQIpnL

It’s unclear in the report how the rancher was able to identify the pieces of carpet as ‘prayer rugs’ and not simply something that would ease one’s knees as migrants make the perilous trek to cross the border illegally.
Terror at the Border?
The rancher quickly linking the ‘prayer rugs’ to a terrorist threat is questionable at best until other sources confirm, but the threat of known entities associated with terrorism is real.
Government data indicates six known or suspected terrorists were caught trying to enter the U.S. from October of 2017 through the end of March 2018. The media celebrated this number, unable to recognize that anything over zero is too many terrorists.
The reason they celebrated is due to the White House claiming that thousands of individuals with terrorist ties had been apprehended.
During a recent briefing for lawmakers, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen ran off statistics regarding the border and the criminal threat attempting to enter the United States – including those associated with terrorism.
Democrats ignored the facts.
“I reject your facts,” Pelosi told Nielsen
“These aren’t my facts,” Nielsen shot back. “These are the facts.”
This after Nielsen told Pelosi that we detained 3,000 w/terror ties and 17,000 criminals at the southern border last year. https://t.co/X4f7WzFg2Y

The Facts
This past October, a Univision reporter confirmed that a caravan trying to breach the U.S./Mexico border contained “unknown Middle Easterners” including “people from Bangladesh.”
Bangladesh has been a hotbed of terrorist activity.
The bulk of the migrant caravan, however, consisted of individuals from Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico. Guatemala is another significant terrorist concern. Guatemala President Jimmy Morales claimed that his administration had captured “close to 100 people completely linked to terrorist issues, with ISIS,” within days of the caravan reaching Mexico.
Reports surfaced of some migrants having guns and explosives on their person as they attempted to breach the border.
Additionally, a suspect in a 1987 bombing that wounded six American soldiers in Honduras had led another migrant caravan demanding entry into the U.S.
“I reject your facts,” the Democrat House Speaker said, interrupting Nielsen’s briefing.
You may reject the facts, you just can’t reject the reality. ‘Prayer rugs’ or not, some bad people are trying to get into this country and the only man trying to do something about it is President Trump.
