White House Petition Calling for Antifa to be Classified as Terrorists Reaches Threshold

The American Left has been accusing everyone who opposes them of being “racist” for at least the past half-century.

But instead of just calling people “racists,” liberals are creative enough to now brand us “Nazis,” “white supremacists,” and “fascists.” Accusations of homophobia have largely gone by the wayside, and have instead been replaced with whining about “Islamophobia” or “systematic discrimination,” a buzzword used to explain any disparity that exists among races.

Among the most common tactic, however, has been to label anyone to the right of Joseph Stalin “alt-right.” The term “alt-right” is one that I doubt many people were even aware of until last year, but now anyone who opposes or dissents from the prevailing leftist narrative is accused of being part of it. That’s why it was so hilarious that Donald Trump branded leftist agitators the “alt-left” when he was addressing media criticism to his response to the tragedy in Charlottesville.

When using the term, Trump was obviously talking about the black-mask wearing Antifa (which stands for “anti-fascist”) protesters, who are better described as “fascists against fascism.” The group has already been classified as terrorist group by New Jersey’s Homeland Security office – and given Trump’s rhetoric about the group, a petition could lead the rest of the nation to follow.

A new White House petition this week is calling on the Trump administration to formally recognize the Antifa movement as a terrorist organization.

“AntiFa has earned this title due to its violent actions in multiple cities and their influence in the killings of multiple police officers throughout the United States,” the petition, started Thursday, states.

Though he didn’t use the term “Antifa,” President Trump, who has been under fire for not taking a dedicated hardline stance against the white supremacy gathering, did express concern over the violent actions of the “alt-left” in Charlottesville.

“What about the alt-left that came charging at, as you say, at the alt-right? Do they have any assemblage of guilt?” Trump told reporters at Trump Tower on Tuesday. “What about the fact that they came charging with clubs in their hands swinging clubs? Do they have any problem? I think they do. That was a horrible, horrible day.”

Trump added that there was “blame on both sides.”

As of this writing, the petition has reached a whopping 151,000 signatures. That’s 50,000 more signatures needed to garner a response from the White House!

Will President Trump respond? Will the White House formally declare Antifa a terrorist organization? Will congressional Republicans act to subdue these violent protesters?

Tell us your thoughts below. And share this story if you think Antifa should be designated a terrorist organization.
