Nancy Pelosi, the same woman who said a $2,000 tax cut bonus to you and your family amounted to “crumbs,” spent the first day of the government shutdown treating her fellow Democrats to an upscale dinner.

They’re literally celebrating the fact that they’ve shut down the government to protect illegal immigrants.

Nancy Pelosi’s dinner was hosted at a Washington, D.C. restaurant known as Acqua al 2, an authentic Italian establishment featuring a menu the average American might not consider cheap.

Needless to say, the optics of dining at a restaurant while the government is shut down didn’t go over very well with many people. These lawmakers should be eating cold pizza and Ramen noodles until they get a deal to keep the government running hammered out. You know, like every other person in America has to do during tough times.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders reminded Pelosi and the Democrats that while they’re living it up at authentic Italian restaurants, our fighting men and women are being furloughed.

“Nice message to send to the brave men & women of our military and border patrol forced to work without pay during the #DemocraticShutdown,” Sanders tweeted.

Families of military members also savaged Pelosi on social media for her lack of empathy towards their plight.

Former Trump administration official Sebastian Gorka reminded Democrats of their priorities …

It’s shameful, but only to reasonable Americans. Democrats have no shame, and they’ve made no secret that they prioritize lawbreakers over military members for quite some time now.
