It was an inspirational moment at Wednesday night’s Republican National Convention. Madison Cawthorn, an appealing and sharp young man, was making a plea for his country. He mentioned nothing about Antifa or Black Lives Matter. Nothing about smug leftist has-been athletes like Colin Kaepernick.
He just said, “Be a radical for liberty and be a radical for our republic for which I stand, one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all.”
As he said it, Cawthorn rose from his wheelchair and stood behind a walker—compelling and powerful. Also, good political theater. It borrows from Jon Voight as FDR in “Pearl Harbor” and Ralph Bellamy (also as FDR) in “Sunrise at Campobello.”

But that didn’t impress our old vacuous Bolshevik pal PBS reporter Yamiche Alcindor. By common consensus on both sides of the aisle the dumbest reporter in D.C., Alcindor, who is also a contributor to NBC News and MSNBC, tweeted in response to Cawthorn’s brave gesture:
“Madison Cawthorn made it a point to stand, suggesting that all Americans to should stand during the pledge of allegiance & national anthem. It was a direct rebuke of actions by ppl — including black [sic] athletes who are currently sitting out games — protesting police brutality.”
Conservatives, and anyone else with a working frontal lobe, were incredulous. The response was quick.
“How on earth could you possibly turn the rather moving act of a FREAKIN’ PARAPLEGIC rising for the national anthem into some weird BLM trip?” said National Review contributor Jeff Blehar. “When someone holds the door open for you, is that a rebuke of BLM too? My patience for takes like this has reached its limit.”

Others joined the fun.
“The activist below found a way to turn a paraplegic standing up in his wheelchair an act of white supremacy,” Daily Caller reporter Chuck Ross tweeted.
“Nowhere did Cawthorn state his standing was a ‘direct rebuke of actions by ppl — including black athletes who are currently sitting out games — protesting police brutality.’ And Yamiche Alcindor is not a journalist,” conservative commentator Stephen Miller said.
“If you thought, ‘certainly nobody could attack this man in a wheelchair for standing up at the end of his speech,’ you haven’t met our completely insane White House press corps, currently viciously attacking a paralyzed man for not sharing their far-left political views,” The Federalist editor and Fox News pundit Mollie Hemingway said.
What’s next for Alcindor? Pistol whipping kittens? Garroting a baby panda? Maybe she can shoot a service dog? Seems to be her style. But it’s not just Alcindor. A good many of the D.C. press corps share her rabid tone and views. I know some of them and have been at times a fly on the wall at social outings they have also attended.
Their virulent self-loathing translates into a deep hatred for anything they see as noble, decent, and traditionally American. Even though they report from the Mecca of their profession, they wear victimhood like a putrid shroud. It permeates everything they say and do. Alcindor typifies the lot.

I always thought that I had already seen the lowest piece of trash, found hiding in a pile of elephant dung that is 4 weeks into ripening, then lo & behold I just now came upon this story. And there it is. Forgive Me now, I must excuse myself to rush to the Bathroom because hearing this LOWLIFE speak has made me need to PUKE like a dog on a gut wagon.
Another fat, ugly, gluttonous black woman..Is that the standard now?.. They will make more fried chicken lady..They can make it faster than you can eat it.
You kidding? They had a procession w/a horse-drawn carriage for Geo. Floyd! An honors burial. And he was high fentanyl, a very dangerous drug that makes it difficult to breathe. There was also meth on board. These were not inflicted on him unaware. The phony $20 maybe. Maybe. But not the fentanyl and meth.
Wow I didn't even know she was a real reporter. I thought she was an opinion columnist with all the bull coming out of her mouth. Who ever employs her should be fired.
Obviously Alcindor only believes that looting, fires, shooting innocents, maiming others is the way to create change. What a fool!
There may come a time when these ignorant clowns will be forced to join the military for their mere existence. Just ask in Israeli. In America, half the nation is ungrateful for a service persons service. Right now, we have volunteer forces that sacrifice all, so those who don’t volunteer can live free. Go figure!
And I thought I was the only one! Got into the habit while realizing if their lips were moving, they were lying most of that time.
Can’t stand these types, throw the rock and then hide their hand. Oh, but the don’t add to the discourse......Yeah, right!
It was his right to do what he did, period! No reasons required...
