A car deliberately drove into a Paris cafe nearly an hour ago, killing one 8-year-old girl and harming a handful of others. The driver has been apprehended and arrested.
The driver told police he was attempting to commit suicide. The incident is not being treated as a terrorist attack.

The driver was driving a dark BMW and crashed into the terrace of the bustling restaurant.
Police have confirmed the suspect, who was detained soon after the terrifying assault, “deliberately” attacked the eaterie with his vehicle.
A witness told BFMTV that the driver tried to reverse away from the restaurant following the attack but was stopped.
They said: “A car drove into the terrace and crashed into the bar. The driver tried to reverse but someone stopped them.
