Parent Comes Unglued Over Photo Of Students Painted In Red, White, And Blue Holding Trump Flag – ‘Soaked In White Supremacy’

A “triggered” liberal parent has come completely unglued over a photo showing public school students from Omaha, Nebraska painted in red, white, and blue as they hold a flag supporting President Donald Trump.

Anti-Trump Parent Comes Unglued

Parent Erik Christensen lost it when a photo surfaced online of students who attended a recent Elkhorn South High School football game.

“I think it was intimidating. I think it was threatening. I think it was racist,” Christensen told WOWT-TV. “I felt like it was kind of soaked in white supremacy.”

He added that the photo made him angry and worried for his stepdaughter, who attends the school.

“I literally had to get up this morning, and I had to wonder if she was going to be OK when she went to school because this was the kind of environment that she was living in — one of very few black students or minority students at Elkhorn at all,” Christensen said.

Principal Mark Kalvoda spoke out to say that the photo was actually just a partial image, with the full one showing students spelling out “2X World War Champs” as part of a “USA Out” theme, as they were supposed to show their patriotism during the game. The principal also said that students are allowed to hold a pro-Trump flag because free speech is protected at the school.

Christensen Goes Off Again

This did not sit well with Christensen, however.

“Can I take a ‘Black Lives Matter’ sign to the football game?” Christensen asked. “And can I do it in the front row of the football game?”

“How did black students respond to it?” the angry parent continued. “How did minority students respond to it? How did other students that are white respond to it?”

Kalvoda said that he spoke with students of color and their parents after the game on Monday, and that the school is still looking into what happened. However, the Nebraska School Activities Association said that it has no language in its rules that addresses political signs at games.
