Watch: Palestinian-American Congressional Candidate Forcibly Grabs Jewish Conservative Journalist

Palestinian candidate assaults jewish journalist

Soon-to-be-congresswoman Rashida Tlaib might have been born in America, but she clearly doesn’t understand freedom of the press. At a campaign event for Minnesota state Rep. Ilhan Omar (D), Tlaib forcibly grabbed the phone of Jewish conservative journalist Laura Loomer and attempted to wrestle it from her grip as Loomer grilled Tlaib and Omar about their affiliation with terrorist organizations.

Loomer uploaded footage of the confrontation on Twitter. In the video, Tlaib refuses to answer when Loomer asks whether she was willing to admit that Palestinian Sunni-Islamist fundamentalist organization Hamas is a terrorist organization. Tlaib and Omar are both endorsed by pro-Hamas activist Linda Sarsour, as well as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which is designated as a terrorist organization in the United Arab Emirates.

Tlaib is then clearly seen grabbing Loomer’s phone and attempting to take it from her until she’s pulled away by Omar. Watch below.

This is not the first time Loomer has been assaulted by a politician. In June, Rep. Maxine Waters allegedly assaulted Loomer as she confronted Waters about her public call for liberals to harass members of the Trump administration. Apparently, liberals don’t like being challenged – and there’s much to challenge about Tlaib and Omar.

Tlaib, the Muslim daughter of Palestinian immigrants, has made a rash of anti-Israel statements on Twitter, including links to an article claiming that Israel incites Palestinian violence and expressing support for Rasmea Odeh, who faces a life sentence in Israel for murdering two American students in a 1969 supermarket bombing in Jerusalem. In 2016, she was escorted out of an event for President Donald Trump by security after she interrupted Trump’s speech. Tlaib is running unopposed to fill the seat of disgraced Rep. John Conyers.

As for Omar, she was accused in 2016 of committing immigration fraud by marrying her alleged brother, British citizen Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, to help him immigrate to the U.S. It was also revealed that she was not legally married to the man whom she publicly referred to as her husband, Ahmed Hirsi. When questioned whether Elmi was actually her brother, Omar flatly denied the accusation and blamed the speculation surrounding her marital status on “Trump-style misogyny, racism, anti-immigration rhetoric and Islamophobic division.”

And if all that isn’t eyebrow-raising enough, Omar – who was born in Somalia and emigrated to the U.S. with her family in 1995 – voted against Minnesota state legislation that would have made the disgusting radical Islamic practice of female genital mutilation a felony.

Given their questionable histories and political affiliations, Loomer had every reason and right to confront Omar and Tlaib. Unfortunately, the left is increasingly resorting to violence in an effort to dodge answering hard questions.
