A Wall Street Journal report indicates the Biden administration could pay $450,000 each to illegal immigrants who were separated from their families at the border under President Trump.
The number of zeroes in that number is not a typo.
“The Biden administration is in talks to offer immigrant families that were separated during the Trump administration around $450,000 a person in compensation,” the WSJ states.
The Journal notes the potential payout is in response to lawsuits filed by parents and children who claim the government subjected them to “lasting psychological trauma.”
They note the numbers may change but “could amount to close to $1 million a family.”
Based on a review of the numbers and possible claims already filed, the overall payout could exceed $1 billion.

News that the Biden administration could pay illegal immigrants such a large sum of money for ‘trauma’ they endured while illegally crossing the United States border did not sit well with Republican lawmakers.
Minority House Leader Kevin McCarthy declared the policy to be “pure insanity.”
“The Biden administration is reportedly looking to pay $450,000 to illegal immigrants who knowingly broke the law,” McCarthy tweeted. “It’s a slap in the face to our law-abiding citizens who wake up, go to work, and pay their taxes.”

Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton likened the plan to that paying a burglar for breaking into your home.
“It’s unthinkable to pay a burglar who broke into your home for the ‘psychological trauma’ they endured during the crime,” he tweeted. “Yet the Biden admin wants to reward migrants who illegally entered our country with up to $450,000 each for just that reason.”
Cotton also referred to the plan as “insanity.”
Representative Steve Womack (R-AR) referred to the report as “the ULTIMATE insult to law-abiding citizens.”

“Lawyers for the families argue the children have suffered long-lasting trauma from the anxiety of being without their parents,” the Daily Mail reports.

Here’s some perspective on the plan to pay illegal immigrants $450,000 each for the ‘trauma’ of breaking the law.
If a United States service member is killed in action, their next of kin will likely receive $100,000 with a maximum insurance payment of $400,000.
Oh, and remember when the average American citizen was being traumatized by the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns imposed by officials in blue states and cities? When businesses and livelihoods were being destroyed?
Do you also remember those relatively light checks the government sent you to help keep your family afloat? Were they anywhere near the amount an illegal immigrant would receive under this plan?

Fox News host Tucker Carlson suggested the plan to pay illegal immigrants almost seems too ridiculous to be true.
But, he said, “we have just read the single most deranged news story ever printed in this country.”
“They’re once again getting $450,000 apiece from your tax receipts. That’s more than some of the 9/11 victims got,” Carlson lamented. “It’s more than any ordinary American ever gets for anything from the U.S. government.”
“Foreigners with no respect for our laws or systems, meanwhile, are hitting the jackpot,” he added.

It should be noted that the media is not innocent when it comes to this outrageous payouts.
You may recall a compliant media fabricated stories and shared fake pictures to make former President Trump look evil. To spread the ‘trauma’ being endured by those who broke the laws of a sovereign nation.
In the end, President Biden may simply be doing the bidding of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The New York socialist this past April demanded families separated under the previous administration be given “reparations.”

De facto President AOC at the time insisted families separated during Trump’s presidency are “owed reparations, period.”
She said ‘jump,’ and Biden climbed aboard Jeff Bezos’ little rocketship and strapped a chute to his back.
The entire story is ludicrous and underlines just how much the current Democrat Party is willing to do for everybody except law-abiding Americans and legal immigrants. They despise you.
