Two months after it was announced that Omarosa Manigault-Newman had resigned from her position as Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison in the White House, a Politico report has revealed that she was fired for using the presidential motorcade as a personal car service.

According to the report, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly dismissed Omarosa in December because she “had been using the White House car service — known as ‘CARPET’ — as an office pick-up and drop-off service, something strictly forbidden by the federal government, according to three administration officials.”
The report continues, “After Kelly dismissed her, Manigault tried to storm the White House residence to appeal to Trump, according to one of the officials, accidentally tripping an electronic Secret Service wire that monitors entry and egress from the residence.”
According to a 2010 U.S. Army article, the White House Transportation Agency is a “24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week operation, staffed exclusively by Army noncommissioned officers.” The agency is tasked with driving, securing, and maintaining the presidential motorcade for the president and his family, and agent duties “typically involve driving in presidential motorcades, providing support services for Air Force One flights and assisting in other travel-related activities in the United States and overseas.”
That really sounds like something Omarosa should have been privy to.
Of course, since her dismissal, Omarosa has taken to publicly criticizing the Trump White House on “Celebrity Big Brother.” Most recently, she warned her fellow “big Brother” contestants not to hope for a Trump impeachment because Vice President Mike Pence is “scary” and “extreme.” “We would be begging for days of Trump back if Pence became President,” she said.
Omarosa was clearly more interested in serving herself and boosting her own notoriety than she ever was in serving Trump. Kelly made the right decision to dismiss her.
