Officials Warn ‘Vast Number’ Of Democrats Planning To Move To Georgia To Vote In Senate Runoff Races – Don’t Do It

Officials are warning Democrat voters planning to move to Georgia with the sole purpose of voting in the Senate runoffs not to do it.

Officials are warning Democrats planning to move to Georgia with the sole purpose of voting in the Senate runoffs not to do it.

The news comes as the San Francisco Chronicle reports “California Democrats are peppering political organizers with questions about how to travel to Georgia” and volunteer for their party’s candidates.

The runoffs are pivotal in whether we will see a split government going forward or if presumed president-elect Joe Biden and the Democrats will hold a majority in the Senate and House.

And while the Chronicle pointed out people are traveling to Georgia to volunteer for the campaigns, Fox News reports a serious uptick in inquiries on how and when to move to the Peach State.

“The vast number of people who said they were willing to move to Georgia just so they can vote in the runoff election has prompted state officials to push back on the idea,” they write.

It Would Be a Felony To Move to Georgia Just to Vote in the Senate Runoffs

Gabriel Sterling, Georgia’s voting system manager, issued a warning that anyone moving to Georgia with the lone intention of voting is committing “a felony.”

Leftists have been encouraging it.

Last week, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman urged Democrats to move to Georgia and register to vote in the two runoff U.S. Senate races in January.

Biden surrogate and former presidential candidate Andrew Yang announced that he would personally be moving to Georgia to “help Ossoff and Warnock win.”

Democrats Trying to ‘Game the System’?

Those attempting to vote in Georgia while merely visiting the state may face felony charges punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.

“Don’t game our system,” Sterling warned.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham warned against Hollywood and other outside entities “pouring money into” the Georgia races.

Ingraham noted that marginally talented singer John Legend had been criticized by “Shark Tank” billionaire Mark Cuban for donating money to the Democrat races.

Cuban advised Chrissy Tiegen’s husband to give his money to charity instead, which the songwriter said, “isn’t sufficient.”

Senator Kelly Loeffler (R), who is running against Democrat Rev. Raphael Warnock in one of the Georgie senate runoffs, vowed not to let Democrats interfere.

“We are going to hold the line in Georgia because they are a red state,” Loeffler predicted. “We are going to make sure we get everyone out to vote and we are not going to let California and New York buy this election.”
