Report: Barack Obama Working to ‘Sabotage’ President Trump

It’s no secret that Barack Obama doesn’t like his successor, President Donald Trump. The president pledged to undo much of Obama’s liberal legacy and now that he’s in office, Trump has already begun dismantling the last 8 years of liberalism.

President Trump’s defeat of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election was a giant repudiation of Obama’s policies, and it should come as no surprise that the former president wouldn’t want to see Trump’s policies succeed.

Well, a new report from The New York Post suggests that not only does Obama want President Trump’s conservative agenda to fail but he is actively trying to “sabotage” his presidency altogether:

In what’s shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popular “America First” agenda.

He’s doing it through a network of leftist nonprofits led by Organizing for Action. Normally you’d expect an organization set up to support a politician and his agenda to close up shop after that candidate leaves office, but not Obama’s OFA. Rather, it’s gearing up for battle, with a growing war chest and more than 250 offices across the country.

Obama is intimately involved in OFA operations and even tweets from the group’s account. In fact, he gave marching orders to OFA foot soldiers following Trump’s upset victory.

The 55-year-old Obama is not content to go quietly into the night like other ex-presidents. “You’re going to see me early next year,” he told his OFA troops after the election, “and we’re going to be in a position where we can start cooking up all kinds of great stuff.” Added the ex-president: “Point is, I’m still fired up and ready to go.”

As we all know, Obama is scheduled to move into a house just 2 miles from the White House, so Obama could oversee the reported plan to “sabotage” the Trump presidency with relative ease. Unlike other former president, Barack Obama has not followed tradition and stayed away from criticizing his successor. After President Trump issued an Executive Order limiting travel from seven nations with ties to terrorism, Obama released a statement criticizing the move, something past president’s have been reluctant to do.

Given that the current Democratic Party is in disarray, it seems logical to assume that Obama would want to protect his liberal legacy any way he can. Given that President Trump intends to dismantle the Obama agenda, the only the former president can preserve even a shred of his 8 years in office may be to “sabotage” his successor.
