Obama Senior Policy Advisor William Mendoza Pleads Guilty to Sex Crimes

William Mendoza

Looks like the #metoo movement just hit the former Obama Administration.

William Mendoza, who was the executive director of the White House Initiative on American Indian and Alaska Native Education, pleaded guilty back in 2017 to taking naughty pictures of women on the D.C. subway system. This guy is seriously sick.

Here are more details from the exclusive Daily Mail report:

A married senior official in President Obama’s Department of Education was convicted of sex crimes and resigned for following women on the DC Metro and taking pictures up their skirts, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

William Mendoza, 42, the former executive director of the White House Initiative on American Indian and Alaska Native Education, stepped down after he was arrested and charged with attempted voyeurism in November, 2016, for the vile acts.

What’s most interesting about this incident is the timing. More from the Daily Mail report: “He pleaded guilty to the charges in January 2017, was given suspended 90-day prison sentence, one year’s probation and was fined $100. He has not worked in public office since stepping down.”

Funny, I don’t remember hearing much about this at the time it happened. A cursory Google search only uncovers the Daily Mail link.

What’s even more coincidental about this is that this isn’t Mendoza’s first run-in with the law. Apparently he got in a violent altercation with another Native American man over a Washington Redskins t-shirt.

Sounds to me like this guy has a problem with escalators – he’s either throwing people down them, or using them to catch clips of women’s underwear. Either way, this guy is obviously a creep and shouldn’t be trusted.

This is a breaking news story. We will add more details as they become available.
