New York Times reporter Farnaz Fassihi tweeted on Tuesday that as a child of immigrants, everyone she knows “wishes they could raise their children outside of America.”

“I’m a child of immigrants. When I was a kid, everyone I knew wished they could raise their children in America,” she wrote. “Now, everyone I know wishes they could raise their children outside of America.”

Well, the good news is everyone she knows is welcome to relocate outside of America any time they wish.

Fassihi’s comments don’t explicitly state that she is referencing immigrants in her circle when discussing ‘everyone she knows,’ but they strongly implied that everyone who once sought refuge in the land of the free would now prefer their kids no longer have to ‘suffer’ here.

Immigrants Want to Raise Children Outside America?

In a series of follow-up tweets, Farnaz Fassihi indicated that her comments were in response to the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas last Tuesday.

Twenty-one people, including 19 children, were killed during the attack.

Fassihi says her friends are “terrified” after recent events.

“It’s what I’m hearing in reaction to the Texas school shooting, parents terrified of gun violence, and the recent shootings in NY subways and elsewhere,” she wrote.

Fassihi added that “As an American who loves this country this observation makes me sad.”

Farnaz Fassihi, you may recall, helped the New York Times portray an Iranian nuclear bomb-maker as a seashore-loving Persian poet.

While Fassihi is suggesting immigrants want to raise their children outside America due to school shootings, CNN national security analyst Juliette Kayyem suggested immigration enforcement should have been suspended in the area of the Uvalde massacre.

“The most important thing for the federal government to do right now is to say there will be no immigration enforcement during this period in that area,” she claimed just hours after the shooting.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted last month that over 1.2 million and potentially as many as 1.4 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border into the United States since President Biden took office.

Oddly enough, contrary to Fassihi’s claims, they don’t seem abundantly deterred enough by the state of America to continue to raise their children outside America.
