No Plans For Biden To Visit Waukesha After Parade Massacre – Visit Would ‘Require A Lot Of Assets’

Psaki Reveals No Plans For Biden To Visit Waukesha Victims, 'Requires A Lot Of Assets'

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki twisted herself into a pretzel once again on Tuesday when, during a White House press briefing, Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked why President Joe Biden had yet to visit the victims of last month’s deadly Christmas Parade attack in Waukesha Wisconsin.

Prior to asking his question, Doocy stated that prosecutors had made public that the suspect, Darryl Brooks, had swerved his SUV from side to side so as to run over as many people as possible.

Daily Sparring Between Doocy And Psaki

The daily back and forth between Doocy, who is not afraid to ask tough questions, and Psaki, who is more of a fan of the softballs thrown by CNN and the Washington Post, has become almost a must watch event. They did not disappoint.

“Since the president said that this administration is monitoring this situation in Waukesha closely, it has been revealed by prosecutors that the assailant swerved his truck side-to-side, as part of an intentional act, to run over as many people as possible. Six people are dead. Some children remain hospitalized. Why hasn’t the president visited the members of this Christmas parade attack?”

Psaki’s response, “We’ve been in touch, obviously, with officials there; and we’re all watching as people are recovering, and this is such a difficult time of year for this to happen. It’s difficult anytime.”

She continued,

“Any President going to visit a community requires a lot of assets, requires taking their resources, and it’s not something that I have a trip previewed at this point in time. We remain in touch with local officials, and certainly, our hearts are with the community as they’ve gone through such a difficult time.”

A Clear Set Of Priorities

Back in September of 2020, Presidential Candidate Joe Biden wasted no time emerging from his basement to travel to Milwaukee to meet with Jacob Blake.

Blake is the black man who was shot by police after fighting with police in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The incident sparked nights of riots, one of which was the night Kyle Rittenhouse shot three assailants.

But President Joe Biden’s priorities seem to have shifted.

The Latest In Waukesha

On Nov. 21, 39-year old Darryl Brooks, a black man, drove his SUV into a crowd of people in Waukesha, Wisconsin as they were gathered for the town’s annual Christmas Parade. Prosecutors have charged Brooks with six counts of intentional homicide after an eight-year old boy died of his injuries earlier this week. Seven other children involved in the attack remain hospitalized.

Darryl Brooks is an apparent career criminal with an extensive rap sheet. He is being held on $5 million bail and could face a mandatory life sentence if he is convicted. There has been some public outcry over the fact that Brooks was out on the street to begin with.

At the time of the attack, Brooks was out on a mere $1,000 bail after allegedly punching the mother of his child, and then attempting to run her over. That incident took place on Nov. 2.
