NIkki Haley Warns Another North Korea Missile Test Could Result in U.S. Military Action

President Donald J. Trump and his administration are not taking the North Korean nuclear threat lightly. Unlike past administrations, this White House is confronting the rogue regime head on, working with neighboring countries – including China – to try and stop North Korea’s continued threats and aggression.

In recent weeks, President Trump has met with China’s president to discuss the North Korea problem, and the two nations have pledged to work together to prevent war. A new report even suggests China is willing to bomb North Korea’s missile test sites if the nation crosses China’s “bottom line.”

Now, the Trump administration is going a step further to show resolve in eliminating the North Korean problem, this time suggesting that another North Korean missile test could prompt the U.S. to use military action.

Speaking with the hosts of NBC’s Today, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, explained that this administration is not taking North Korea lightly:

We are not going to do anything unless he gives us reason to do something. If you see him attack a military base, if you see some sort of intercontinental ballistic missile, then obviously we’re going to do that, But right now, we’re saying don’t test, don’t use nuclear missiles, don’t try and do any more actions and I think he’s understanding that and China’s helping us really put that pressure on him.

Nikki Haley also spoke out after a U.S. citizen was detained in North Korea, commenting that the rogue nation’s attempted show of strength is not going to work:

Recently, Vice President Mike Pence traveled to South Korea and stood side-by-side with U.S. and South Korean military officials at the DMZ, telling the world this administration will not allow North Korea to threaten our allies in South Korea and Japan:

While using military force is certainly the last option America wants to use, the Trump administration has made it crystal clear that it will not take any option off the table. Rather than tell the world what its plans for North Korea are, the White House is playing its cards close to the vest, not wanting to give the rogue regime any advanced notice as to how it plans to respond to any future missile tests.
