During the recent contest between the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a replay official charged with holding a portable monitor for the on-field referee was spotted wearing a surprising sign attached to his hat.
It read simply, “I will always stand.”
It was a direct shot at players who have been kneeling during the National Anthem, and a declaration of support for the American flag.
That Sunday, Veterans Day weekend, a majority of players did not kneel, so as not to have their protests linked to an anti-military stance. Three, however, still took a knee.
This particular replay official was determined to get his own message across to the people.
Now the guy holding the replay monitor is making political statements too??? pic.twitter.com/eI9vQNHU0B

The replay guy with the Surface tablet in the NYJ-TB game taped a sign to his hat that says I WILL ALWAYS STAND, he is the only true patriot left in America

Remarkably, NFL cameras which were all-too happy to show viewers images of the players taking a knee, suddenly got skittish about a man declaring he “will always stand.”
CBS cut to a split screen of the replay official and the questionable play on the field, and managed to crop the hat out of the new view.
There was a guy with the words “I will always stand” on the back of his hat during that replay and CBS moves the camera off of him just enough to cut the message out of the shot. Gotta love the silencing of messages they don’t agree with. #1stAmendment

Because hey, ‘I will always stand’ is just too offensive a view to broadcast to football fans.
The NFL replay guy has more common sense than Colin Kaepernick and the anti-American players in the League.
