Apparently, close aides to Hillary Clinton’s campaign still view southern states as part of the Confederacy, despite it having been dissolved after the civil war in 1865.
Newly leaked emails provide a unique insight into how liberal aides to the presidential nominee look down on southerners.
In an email to Neera Tanden, who runs the liberal “think” tank the Center for American Progress, Hillary’s campaign chairman John Podesta comments on the Miss America pageant.
Podesta complains about a number of finalists coming from the CSA, or Confederate States of America.
“Do you think it’s weird that of the 15 finalists in Miss America, 10 came from the 11 states of the CSA?” he asked Tanden.
Tanden, who is widely speculated to have a future role in any Clinton presidency, sneered at the pageant as being held to honor the “confederacy,” a clear shot that those watching and those participating are all a bunch of sexist, hillbilly racists.
“Not at all,” she responded. “I would imagine the only people who watch it are from the confederacy and by now they know that so they’ve rigged the thing in their honor.”
Hillary has recently ripped Donald Trump for disparaging comments he made about a former Miss America contestant.
These comments seem to disparage the entire Miss America audience as backwater, Confederate-era racists.
Hillary herself has a word for that … Can’t quite seem to recall exactly what it was. Oh yea …

After asking who exactly still refers to the south as the Confederate States of America, one social media user said this email exchange “shows me the level of contempt in which huge numbers of Americans are held by Team Hillary.”
