New York Attorney General: Trump A “Loser,” Discussing Martial Law “An Act Of Sedition”

New York’s Attorney General Letitia James has said that if President Trump declares martial law, it will be an “act of sedition” from a “loser.”

Media reports have claimed that during a meeting at the White House, President Trump and others had an argument about whether to declare martial law in order to allow a re-run of the election in states with irregularities.

President Trump Says “Martial Law” Debate Is Fake News

Speaking to Dean Obeidallah, New York Attorney General Letitia James said that any discussing of martial law was tantatmount to an act of “sedition” by the President.

“The will of the people have [sic] spoken, and that [sic] the days of President Trump are closely coming to an end,” James said. “And the reality is is that this is an act of sedition. This president is engaging in illegality, and the fact that he would even consider martial law is an affront to our values, and to the Constitution.”

“The people have spoken,” James continued, “and he should accept the outcome of the election, as opposed to trying to find fraud where none exists.”

She argued that the martial law discussion from Trump was “nothing more than a distraction” from the current coronavirus crisis.

James added that “this is nothing more than an attempt by President Trump to raise money. It’s fundraising. That’s all that this is. Fundraising. And that’s all that he cares about.”

“He’s in the White House, and he stews on the fact that he’s a loser, and he lost this election, and unfortunately he’s finding it hard to accept. He lost,” she concluded.

President Trump has, however, claimed that the martial law discussion never took place, slamming it as fake news.

“Just more knowingly bad reporting,” the President tweeted. Sources close to his legal team have further repudiated the claims.

Ivanka: James Engaging In “Harassment” Against Her Family

James noted the current challenge ramping up in Congress to the Electoral College votes from Republicans, and said that they are “unfortunately validating the behavior of this President, who is closely engaging in a seditious act.”

“We do know that members of Congress in all likelihood will again try to circumvent the will of the people, undermine our democracy, and delay or attempt to delay the fact that Vice President Biden and Vice President-elect Harris will soon be sworn in on January 20th,” James continued.

Attorney General James is no stranger to the President, or the Trump family.

The Attorney General is also currently targeting the Trump Organization in an investigation relating to tax write-offs the President allegedly linked to consulting fees paid by his daughter Ivanka, along with a separate investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney.

“This is just the latest fishing expedition in an ongoing attempt to harass the company,” said Trump Organization attorney Alan Garten in November. “Everything was done in strict compliance with applicable law and under the advice of counsel and tax experts.”

“This is harassment, pure and simple,” tweeted Ivanka Trump.

“This ‘inquiry’ by NYC Democrats is 100% motivated by politics, publicity, and rage. They know very well that there’s nothing here and that there was no tax benefit whatsoever,” she added.

“These politicians are simply ruthless.”

James has also promoted, without evidence, a conspiracy theory that President Trump will step down before January 20th so that Vice President Pence can “pardon” him.
