According to a new CNN poll released Tuesday, President Donald Trump’s approval rating is tied with his record high.
Trump’s Current Approval Rating Is Tied with His Highest That Occurred in September 2019
45 percent of Americans approve of President Trump’s job performance, according to the poll. This number ties Trump’s all-time record high that occurred in March of 2017.
The President’s approval numbers have been ticking upward since September 2019 when he locked in at only a 39 percent approval rating.

One area where Americans are more critical of Trump’s performance has been his handling of the COVID-19 crisis.
42 percent approved of how President Trump had deal with the coronavirus, while 55 percent disapproved.
Most Republicans, 71 percent, believe that the worst of the virus has come and gone, while 74 percent of Democrats believe that the country hasn’t seen the worst of the disease yet.
The poll was taken of 1,112 adults with a margin of sampling error of the poll at +/- 3.7 points with a 95 percent confidence level. Thirty-four percent described themselves as Democrats, 26 percent described themselves as Republicans, and 40 percent described themselves as independents or members of another party.

Trump’s Critics Focus on His Handling of Coronavirus
Trump has repeatedly given himself and his administration high marks for how they have handled this crisis, while the President’s critics have gone to great lengths to portray him as unfit for office or unprepared to lead the nation through this pandemic.
On Monday, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said the country would be better off if Trump would leave the White House.

“Well, you know, people always talk about when Arizona conservative icon Barry Goldwater went to the White House and actually told Richard Nixon that it was time to leave,” Scarbrough said. “That’s not what we’re even asking here, though I believe America would be far better off.”
“(S)enior citizens would be far safer. We could face this crisis far better if Donald Trump did leave office,” Scarborough continued.
“That’s not going to happen, but, you know, we’re not talking about 50 Republicans here,” the MSNBC host went on. “We’re not talking about 30 Republicans. Five Republicans going over there, saying, ‘Mr. President, we’re not asking you to leave, we’re just asking you to do your job.”
Unfortunately, it seems that a growing number of Americans don’t agree that we’d be better off without Trump after all.
