NBA Issues Finals Hats With Message That Will Trigger Liberals – Do You See It?

For the fourth consecutive year, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors will meet in the NBA finals, with each team punching their ticket by winning a pair of Game 7’s during the long Memorial Day weekend. As is customary, the winning teams were seen during the post-game celebration sporting t-shirts and hats that had been pre-printed with their championship message.

However, the design in this year’s caps created an illusion that the NBA likely never intended and is sure to have triggered anti-gun liberals far and wide.

The hats had team logos placed under – and slightly over – the word ‘NBA,’ creating an image that turned the letter ‘B’ into an ‘R.’

Ladies and gentlemen – Welcome to the 2018 NRA Finals!

We weren’t kidding about the liberals being triggered either.

Instead of laughing off the gaffe, they did what any good leftwing warrior would do … They cried about it on social media.

Others took great pleasure in the inadvertent advertisement for the National Rifle Association.

“Ha! NRA finals!” one user wrote. “Love it.”

Another said, “LMAO! Thanks for supporting the NRA!”

The NBA has taken conscious measures to disassociate themselves from any marketing involving guns or gun terminology. In 1997, the Washington Bullets changed their name to the Washington Wizards because then-owner Abe Pollin thought the nickname was associated with street violence.

Even worse, these hats were issued to the Warriors who are coached by Steve Kerr, whose father, a university professor, was assassinated in Beirut in 1984. It is a lead-in story frequently used by the media to link his death to ‘gun violence’ and not terrorism.

“Dr. Kerr’s untimely and tragic death at the hands of these despicable assassins must strengthen our resolve not to give in to the acts of terrorists,” President Reagan said. “Terrorism must not be allowed to take control of the lives, actions, or future of ourselves and our friends.”

Kerr himself has equated the terrorist attack in the Middle East to gun control in America.

“His life has been shaped by gun violence,” the Chicago Tribune wrote, before quoting Kerr saying: “Kids getting murdered in high school and murdered by semiautomatic weapons, weapons that belong in the military . . . that should not be open to debate.”

Those two things aren’t even vaguely related. Hopefully, Kerr and the rest of the media will figure that out. Maybe they’ll even learn it at the NRA Finals.
