Nancy Pelosi Tells Democrats To Let Trump Be ‘His Slobbering Self’ During State Of The Union

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi reportedly encouraged her caucus not to disrupt President Donald Trump during his first State of the Union address tonight, telling them to allow Trump to be “his slobbering self.”

Pelosi made the comments to the House Democratic Caucus during their weekly private meeting Tuesday morning. “Let the attention be on his slobbering self,” Politico reports Pelosi as saying. “If you want to walk out, don’t come in.”

There’s clearly no love lost between Pelosi and the President.

Apparently, Pelosi believes that any interruptions made by Democrats during the State of the Union would hinder attempts to rebut Trump’s speech after the fact. But Pelosi also isn’t taking her own advice – she’s one of several Democrat lawmakers who are bringing young undocumented immigrants as their guests to the speech. Other lawmakers have invited sexual harassment victims and plan to wear all black to call attention to the women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct. So much for not being a distraction.

Pelosi also expressed her feelings that the bar isn’t being set very high for Trump: “If his nose isn’t running and he isn’t burping, he did a great speech,” she said.

However, Pelosi doesn’t really have room to judge. On CNN Monday night, she repeatedly called Rep. Devin Nunes “Dennis” and called the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) the “DNA.”

But it seems that liberals are perfectly fine with allowing Pelosi to be her confused self.
