Nancy Pelosi Demands Masks In Congress After Breaking San Francisco COVID Rules In August

Nancy Pelosi Declares Congressmen Must Wear Masks in House Chamber And If They Don't They ‘Will Not Be Recognized’

Infamous mask scofflaw House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared on the House floor on Tuesday that masks will be required of congressmen “at all times” while speaking in the chamber.

The Democrat added that “members will not be recognized unless they are wearing a mask and recognition will be withdrawn if they remove the mask while speaking.”

Pelosi: ‘Members Will Not Be Recognized Unless They Are Wearing A Mask’

Pelosi said on the House floor, “The chair will take this occasion to update her announcement of July 29 and November 13 — excuse me, 18, concerning the wearing of masks in the Hall of the House during the coronavirus pandemic.”

“The chair wishes to, again, emphasize the importance of safe practices during House proceedings,” she added.

Then the Democrat leader laid down the law.

“Accordingly, masks will now be required at all times in the Hall of the House, without exception, including while members are under recognition,” Pelosi said. “The chair would reiterate that this is a matter of order and decorum in the chamber under Clause 2 of Rule I.”

Pelosi said members who don’t wear masks while speaking would not be recognized.

“To be clear,” Pelosi emphasized, “members will not be recognized unless they are wearing a mask and recognition will be withdrawn if they remove the mask while speaking.”

Pelosi Wantonly Violated San Fran COVID Rules

Earlier this year, Pelosi, who despite urging all Americans to wear masks, decided she didn’t need to when getting her hair done in private at a San Francisco salon.

At the time, the salon was closed due to COVID restrictions, but Pelosi was able to secure a private service.

After she got caught violating far-left San Fransisco’s COVID and mask orders, Pelosi bizarrely claimed that the salon had “set her up.”

“When they said they could accommodate people one at a time, and we can set up that time, I trusted that,” she said. “As it turns out, it was a setup. So I take responsibility for falling for a setup.”

Joe Biden Wants Americans To Wear Masks The First 100 Days Of His Presidency

President-elect Joe Biden has said he will urge all Americans to wear masks during the first 100 days of his presidency to help tamp down the virus.

Now, the House Speaker is applying such a guideline to Congress.

Let’s hope Nancy Pelosi includes herself this time.

Last month, USA Today knocked a conservative Facebook group for chastising Democrats who flout COVID rules.

The paper claims that it’s “missing context” to say Democrat leaders have been breaking their own rules – because there was a COVID outbreak in the White earlier this year.

So remember, it’s not just Nancy Pelosi breaking the rules.
