Politico Tells Democrats: Prepare for “Disappointing” Mueller Probe Results

While the most hysterical liberals among us will push the narrative of Russian collusion with the Trump administration until the end of time, Politico is warning their fellow liberals that Robert Mueller’s special council isn’t going to find the smoking gun they hoped.

If there was collusion between the Russian government and members of the Trump campaign, how hard would it be to prove? With the FBI and then Mueller special counsel investigating for over two years now, how could they not have turned up anything? Not a single text message between a Trump campaign member and member of the Russian government. Not a single phone call, or suspicious meeting, or transfer of money. Nothing. The FBI wiretapped Carter Page and Paul Manafort, and inserted a spy into the Trump campaign named Stefan Halper, and even that turned up no evidence of collusion. With the stakes so high, wouldn’t someone from the Trump campaign who actually did collude with the Russians have come forward for immunity (or media attention)?

Democrats prepare for disappointment with Mueller probe conclusion

A new article in the left-leaning Politico is warning Mueller’s probe that ends after the mid-term elections will give Democrats nothing but disappointment. “[“Disappointment” is] the word POLITICO got from defense lawyers working on the Russia probe and more than 15 former government officials with investigation experience spanning Watergate to the 2016 election case. The public, they say, shouldn’t expect a comprehensive and presidency-wrecking account of Kremlin meddling and alleged obstruction of justice by Trump — not to mention an explanation of the myriad subplots that have bedeviled lawmakers, journalists and amateur Mueller sleuths.”

So underwhelming are Mueller’s findings, that they may never even see the light of day.

Of course, not all liberals are so level-headed about the coming disappointment. Some legitimately think that after two years of nothing, a bombshell is right around the corner.

And you can bet that no matter what happens, the likes of CNN and MSNBC will continue the bogus collusion narrative.

Thus far, the Mueller counsel has made dozens of indictments, and not a single one mentions the word “collusion” in them. When Rod Rosenstein authorized Mueller’s special counsel after the firing of James Comey, it authorized Mueller to investigate “any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and (ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and (iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a).”

Prediction: Mueller will find no Russian collusion in probe

Not a single indictment is within the scope of what Rosenstein laid out. Members of the Trump campaign such as Michael Flynn and George Papadapoulos got themselves in trouble for making minor false statements to the FBI, while Paul Manafort and Rick Gates are charged with tax evasion and money laundering. All of the Russians charged were indeed trying to influence the election – but there’s zero evidence of collusion. And when it comes to collusion charges, I find it hard to believe that Mueller could be saving the best for last.

What do you call it when an investigation charges countless people, none of which were within the scope of the investigation? A witch hunt.

It’s no wonder Mueller is waiting until after the midterms to come forward with his lack of evidence finding collusion. He knows that it’ll completely detonate the narrative Democrats have been pushing for nearly three years now, which would greatly impact them in the midterms.
