The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) discovered more than 1,000 fake families trying to sneak across the southwest U.S. border by pretending other illegal immigrant’s children are their own.
DHS officials said that since Oct. 1, 2018, authorities have discovered about five fake families a day sneaking across the border with children they have borrowed or abducted, The Washington Times reported Wednesday. Officials worry there may be more families, saying that the 1,000 fraudulent families discovered so far are merely the ones they have caught.
DHS officials have also noted a 315 percent increase in the number of fake family units between October 2017 and February 2018.
Homeland Security plans to start a program to check the DNA of the alleged families and ensure the safety of children who are being used in this way.
“The whole goal here is to identify these fake family units,” an official told The Washington Times.
This escalating strategy is a result of the 2015 Flores settlement update that makes deporting families with children who claim asylum virtually impossible, according to The Washington Times.
Families can only be held in detention under the Flores settlement update for about 20 days, which is about half the time it takes to hear deportation cases. This usually results in families being released, according to the newspaper. The Obama administration reportedly warned authorities that the Flores settlement might cause a rise in child abduction and fake families, as is now the case.
“It’s definitely an escalating trend that we’re seeing,” a Homeland Security department official told The Washington Times.
“This is an unprecedented step forward in our investigative process and techniques,” a DHS officials said to reporters during a Wednesday conference call.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has also commented on the amount of fake families. “Fake families are being formed to cross our border and avoid detention. ICE [Homeland Security Investigations] is working with [Customs and Border Protection] to stop individuals, networks and organizations facilitating child smuggling and document fraud to illegally enter the U.S.,” ICE tweeted Monday.
ICE said it will move experts to the border to investigate child smuggling by using scientific data to uncover the trafficking rings operating out of Central America and Mexico.

as i have said many times, in many sites about these people coming over the borders. shoot a few males every day, for awhile, and they will get the idea not to try.just pick a random target and fire.don't advertise it and make sure no lame streamers are around. give it a couple weeks, and i bet illegal immigration will drop to just about zero. oh yes, leave the bodies where they lay, as a sight example for the next batch to see.
We don't want the demonazis to do any 'work'. Every time they do something it hurts our country or our rights. Have to tell them to stop using the taxpayer money to settle all their sexual harassment suits too.
AND stop sending all the countries that dump their refuse on us the aid money. Use that to build the wall.

I have no problem with immigration as long as it is done the right way. It's true we are a country of immigrants that's how we stared this great country of ours. Back then they didn't really have the resources to check out everybody, but now we do if they are documented in the country they are coming from. So if they are legal let them enter if they are not...well just say no. We the people have a right in a say to immigration not just our government. This our country not the governments they represent us we don't represent them (a little political but). It is to bad this problem will never be resolved in a way it will benefit America and her people and that is a shame. The border patrol and I.C.E. is doing the best they can they just need support from us in help to make our country remain a safe as possible.

That is no news to most everyone.
Stop the illegal immigration into our country and the deportations will stop. That is, when we capture and deport all those hiding inside our borders from the Obama catch and release program. Millions upon millions of illegals, that includes some DACA people. The first phase for these illegals will be to stop all welfare, food stamps, and housing allotments. Give this aid to poor Americans and displaced Veterans.
