Supermodel Chrissy Teigen, who is known for her strong social media presence, just spoke out to slam Ivanka Trump for what she described as the first daughter’s “out of touch” post about social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.
Ivanka, who is a White House adviser who is working from home, suggested that parents have indoor camp-outs while home with their kids in self-isolation—she posted throwback photos of herself doing this with her own children.
“Staying home today with kids? Plan a living room camp out!” wrote Ivanka, 38. “Throw a bed-sheet over some taped-together brooms or a rolling rack to create a tent. Plan a menu together and ‘pack’ sandwiches, salads…whatever you enjoy.”

“Also that’s a clothing rack but yeah america only understands ‘taped together brooms,'” Teigen later added.
Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend, have been vocal critics of Ivanka’s father Donald Trump. Last fall, the president referred to Legend as a “boring musician” and Teigen as his “filthy mouthed wife” after he slammed them for not giving him credit for his efforts in criminal justice reform.
“Lol, what a p***y a** b****. Tagged everyone but me. An honor, Mr President,” Teigen responded, according to Daily Mail.
Despite the fact that Ivanka was clearly just trying to brighten up the days of Americans during this difficult time, liberals have joined Teigen in attacking her for her post.
“Pretty out [of] touch,” one social media user commented. “Real world parents are juggling work maybe going to work sick bc they don’t have paid leave or laid off. Juggling child care from school closures & struggling to afford groceries & pay rent.”
“So while everyone scrambles to figure out daycare, bills and toilet paper, you get to play mommy. Can you possibly be any more obtuse,” another user commented, with a third writing, “Awh, so cute while your father totally screws the country with his hubris and incompetence!”
Had a liberal like Michelle Obama posted this suggestion, we highly doubt that Teigen and her fellow liberals would have had any issue with it. Since it was a member of the Trump family, however, left-wingers saw it as an opportunity to pounce because they don’t want Ivanka to have the chance to spread any joy to others. In the end, all they’re doing is widening the divide and dragging our country further into despair during this crisis.
