Report: FBI Agents Claim ‘Accidental’ Death Of Putin Media Czar Mikhail Lesi Was Actually Murder

In a newly published report from Buzzfeed, a pair of FBI agents and an active U.S. intelligence officer claim the death of a high-ranking Russian official on American soil was no accident.

And one Reagan era official believes the victim had knowledge of financial ties between Russian president Vladimir Putin and the Clinton Foundation.

Mikhail Lesin, former media czar for Putin, was found dead in his Washington, D.C., hotel room in November of 2015.

The official cause of death – an ‘accident’ due to multiple falls “after days of excessive consumption of alcohol.”

Three agents are calling that version of events into question, however.

Via Buzzfeed:

Mikhail Lesin’s battered body was discovered in his Dupont Circle hotel room on the morning of November 5, 2015 with blunt-force injuries to the head, neck, and torso. After an almost year-long “comprehensive investigation,” a federal prosecutor announced last October that Lesin died alone in his room due to a series of drunken falls “after days of excessive consumption of alcohol.” His death was ruled an “accident,” and prosecutors closed the case.

But the two FBI agents — as well as a third agent and a serving US intelligence officer — said Lesin was actually bludgeoned to death. None of these officials were directly involved in the government’s investigation, but they said they learned about it from colleagues who were.

“Lesin was beaten to death,” one of the FBI agents said. “I would implore you to say as much. There seems to be an effort here to cover up that fact for reasons I can’t get into.”

“Everyone thinks he was whacked and that Putin or the Kremlin were behind it,” one agent claimed.

Why? According to the report, officials from the Department of Justice wanted to talk with him about Russia Today, a Kremlin propaganda media outlet for the west, founded by Lesin.

In fact, they even paid for the hotel room the Russian official later died in.

Lesin died the night before he was scheduled to be interviewed.

Officials grew concerned that Putin was arranging hit jobs in America.

Buzzfeed has now sued the DOJ and the FBI for documents pertaining to the case.

Richard W. Rahn, an American economist who served in the Reagan administration, has an alternate theory. He claims that Lesin had information on financial ties between Putin and the Clinton Foundation.

Rahn, appearing in the Washington Times, wrote:

The Clintons have been covert financial allies of Mr. Putin for a number of years. We know that Russian money, from state-controlled energy companies Rosneft and Gazprom, found its way to at least one Bermuda-based foundation. This foundation, in turn, supplied tens of millions of dollars to the Sea Change Foundation (a bundler for environmental groups), which then sent millions on to the Sierra Club, the National Resources Defense Council and others.

These environmental organizations are allies of President Obama and the Clintons, and are actively involved in a war against fossil fuels and pipeline projects. There have been detailed and easy-to-find stories about the above in the press for the last couple of years.

Related is the curious fact that Mikhail Lesin, who built the RT TV network for Mr. Putin and then became a senior official of Gazprom, was beaten to death in a Washington hotel room on Nov. 5, 2015. Lesin was almost certain to have known what monies went from Russian sources to the U.S. environmental groups and the Clinton Foundation.

Now one has to wonder who really called the hit on Lesin.
