Vice President Mike Pence ripped into New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for the staggering rate of coronavirus deaths in his state.

Cuomo Attacks Trump For Coronavirus Response

On Monday, in a press conference, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo took to the podium to rip into President Donald Trump’s response to the coronavirus, claiming he has made multiple “mistakes” during the pandemic.

“The president has to tell the American people the truth,” Cuomo tweeted. “It was a mistake to downplay COVID. It was a mistake to say it would be gone by Easter. It was a mistake to say it will magically disappear. And it was a mistake to not set up a national testing program.”

#KillerCuomo Is Actually Responsible!

Appearing on The Angle on Fox News with Laura Ingraham, Vice President Mike Pence hit back at Cuomo.

“Our hearts grieve for the fact that one-in-five of all the American lives that have been lost in the coronavirus pandemic were lost in the State of New York, and some of that was because of poor decisions by the state and by Governor Cuomo,” Pence said.

As I reported in May, Governor Cuomo’s lockdown plan has absolutely killed people, because of one serious flaw in its design; elderly, recovering coronavirus patients were sent back to nursing homes where they then infected more vulnerable patients, leading to hundreds of unnecessary deaths.

The hashtag #KillerCuomo then began trending on Twitter, sparked off by conservative actor James Woods, who noted just what the actions of Governor Cuomo had done.

Pence: “The American People Know The Facts Here”

Vice President Pence also noted that Cuomo has repeatedly praised the Trump administration’s actions, labelling them “phenomenal,” as the administration “surged testing, as we surged PPE, as we sailed in a hospital ship, as we built hospitals in New York.”

“I think the American people know the facts here, and the fact that Governor Cuomo has been on again, off again, he’s complimented the administration’s response and then he pivots to criticism, I think people see through that,” Pence concluded. “We’re going to stay focused on the task at hand – saving lives, protecting the vulnerable, and putting this coronavirus in the past.”

I think this says it all doesn’t it?
