Michelle Obama Makes ‘Closing Argument’ For 2020 Election: Slams Trump As A ‘Racist’ Failure

Michelle Obama Racist Trump Closing Argument

Michelle Obama, appearing in a 24-minute ‘closing argument’ video in support of Joe Biden, made a case that President Trump is promoting “racist” policies.

The former First Lady first also addressed the President’s “failure” in handling the coronavirus pandemic.

Obama accused Trump of downplaying the importance of wearing masks and social distancing and “knowingly exposing his own supporters to a dangerous virus” by holding rallies.

The President was released from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Monday after contracting COVID-19. He encouraged Americans to continue living their lives.

“Don’t let it dominate. Don’t let it take over your lives. Don’t let that happen,” he said in a video from the White House.

Mrs. Obama fired off that the President “continues to gaslight the American people by acting like this pandemic is not a real threat.”

Michelle Obama Accuses Trump of Being Racist in Closing Argument

Perhaps most startling is Mrs. Obama’s assertion that President Trump is a racist by supporting law and order and pointing out the violence that has overrun Democrat-controlled cities in recent months.

“They’re stoking fears about Black and Brown Americans,” she says, “lying about how minorities will destroy the suburbs … whipping up violence and intimidation.”

“And they’re pinning it all on what’s been an overwhelmingly peaceful movement for racial solidarity,” Obama adds.

“So what the president is doing is, once again, patently false, it’s morally wrong, and yes, it is racist,” she claimed. “But that doesn’t mean it won’t work.”

It’s Not Patently False

A report by the National Commission on COVID-19 and Criminal Justice shows that violent crimes – homicides, aggravated assaults, gun assaults – all rose significantly over the summer.

An Antifa anarchist was suspected in the murder of Patriot Prayer’s Aaron ‘Jay’ Danielson, a supporter of President Trump, at the end of August.

A man who was arrested at a Portland protest and later had those charges dismissed was accused of stabbing two people to death just days later.

Two Los Angeles police officers were shot in an ambush in mid-September.

In fact, in mid-July, FBI statistics indicated murders of police officers had already gone up 28 percent.

“Police advocacy groups and many law enforcement officials say the protests – particularly when they become unruly – can contribute to an anti-police atmosphere that puts officers in danger,” ABC News reported.

Pointing this problem out, according to Obama, means President Trump is guilty of “whipping up violence and intimidation” against people of color.

She alleged that black people have had to live with the reality that too many Americans “only see us as a threat to be restrained.”

In a podcast this summer, Obama claimed the constant racism she experienced as First Lady was “exhausting.”

“And it’s … what white folks don’t understand, it’s like, that, that is so telling of how white America views people who are not like them,” she complained at the time.

“You know, we don’t exist. And when we do exist we exist as a threat.”

Accusing Trump and, by extension, his supporters, of being racist will likely not help Biden in the upcoming election.
