Michelle Obama Complains: One of Few ‘People of Color’ Forced to Sit Through Trump’s Inauguration

Former First Lady Michelle Obama kept up the streak of classless attacks against the Trumps that she and her husband, Barack Obama, are now known for, ripping President Trump’s inaugural crowd as “not reflective of the country.”

It’s a bit strange going with the ‘America is racist’ argument when many people in that crowd accepted Obama as their president prior to that for eight years.

Still, the woman who was never proud of her country until Barack was elected, painted the entire inauguration crowd in 2017 with a broad brush and complained that she had to sit there in that supposedly non-diverse crowd.

Meeting These Peasants

“And then we had to meet the Trumps,” Mrs. Obama told CNN’s Gayle King at the Essence Festival in New Orleans. “That day was very emotional and then to sit at that inauguration and to look around at a crowd that was not reflective of the country.”

“I had to sit in that audience, one of a handful of people of color, and then listen to that speech,” she laments. “All that I had sort of held on to for eight years, watching my husband get raked over the coals, feeling like we had to do everything perfectly.”

“By the time I got on that plane, it was [a] release of eight years of having to try to show up, as we all know we have to do, not only perfectly but a little bit better than perfect to even be considered equal.”

She spent eight years in the White House with her husband. And she is still complaining that they’re not considered equal.

What exactly was she trying to do perfectly anyway?

Whether it was hosting the “Biggest Loser” or potato sack races in the White House, embarrassing herself while Barack took selfies at a memorial service for Nelson Mandela, or her school lunch policies which left kids hungry and schools losing money at epic rates, Michelle was light years away from being perfect.

It’s Always About Race With Her

This isn’t the first time Michelle has admitted to being very emotional after seeing Trump take on the role of President. She previously claimed to have “sobbed for 30 minutes.”

She also claimed she was thinking “Bye Felicia!” as she and Barack boarded Air Force One.

Previously, the former First Lady claimed the hardest part about her eight years in the White House wasn’t trying to be perfect, it was all those racist Americans.

After “working really hard for this country,” there would still be people “who won’t see me for what I am because of my skin color,” Obama claimed.

It must be an awful thing to be so ignorant as to your own flaws that you believe the only possible reason someone could dislike you politically is that they’re racist. In fact, that entire mindset seems … well, racist.
