Michael Cohen Fires Back at MSM Lies Over Russia Ties

It’s widely understood that ex-MI6 spy Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier is packed with salacious and unverified claims, but liberals are still desperately hoping parts could be true.

According to McClatchy “The Justice Department special counsel has evidence that Donald Trump’s personal lawyer and confidant, Michael Cohen, secretly made a late-summer trip to Prague during the 2016 presidential campaign, according to two sources familiar with the matter.”

You may remember that when BuzzFeed initially published Steele’s dossier, Trump specifically cited the claims about Cohen’s trip to Prague as evidence that the document was nonsense, claiming that he’d seen Cohen’s passport and there was no evidence of a trip to Prague. The simplest explanation is that the dossier is referencing a different Michael Cohen – and Steele never bothered to verify that it was the right guy.

In response to the claims being repeated by Mueller’s special counsel, Cohen is firing back once again.

According to the Daily Caller:

Cohen has said that he was in Los Angeles visiting universities with his son when the dossier claims he was overseas.

Cohen is suing BuzzFeed News, which published the 35-page report on Jan. 10, 2017. BuzzFeed did not verify the allegations against Cohen, and no news outlets have reported that there is any evidence that Cohen visited Prague.

CNN’s Jake Tapper reported on the day that the dossier was published that a government source told him that a different Michael Cohen was who visited Prague.

Cohen has provided photos of the inside of his passport to BuzzFeed in an effort to prove that he did not visit the Czech Republic.

The McClatchy story argues that Cohen was able to enter the Czech Republic without a passport by entering through Germany – but there’s no evidence provided for the claim. Furthermore, Cohen’s alibi has been that he was in Los Angeles during the time of the alleged visit. A record of a visit to Germany would be present on his passport, thus debunking his alibi.
