During Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards, far-left Hollywood actress Meryl Streep used her speech accepting a lifetime achievement award to viciously attack President-elect Donald J. Trump.

During her rant, the liberal actress attacked Trump for daring to want America to actually enforce its immigration laws and falsely accused him of mocking a disabled reporter.

Here’s a bit of Streep’s rant:

An actor’s only job is to enter the lives of people and let you feel what that feels like … there was one performance this year that stunned me. It sank its hooks in my heart. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter — someone he outranked in privilege, power and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart when I saw it. This instinct to humiliate, when it’s modeled by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, it filters down into everybody’s life, because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence invites violence. And when the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.

The leftist then called on her fellow liberals in the media to supposedly “hold Trump accountable,” which really means attack him for simply holding true to his campaign promises.

Rather than simply let Streep get away with her fact-challenged attack, President-elect Trump took to Twitter to blast the liberal actress:

In addition to his blistering criticism of Streep on Twitter, in a phone interview with the New York Times, the president-elect said he was “not surprised” that he was attacked by “liberal movie people.”

I was never mocking anyone… I was calling into question a reporter who had gotten nervous because he had changed his story. People keep saying I intended to mock the reporter’s disability, as if Meryl Streep and others could read my mind, and I did no such thing.

Of course, the liberal media will not correct Streep’s rant and instead will likely call her attacks on Trump “passionate” or “heartfelt” even if they are void of any truth. Kudos to President-elect Trump for standing up to Streep’s vicious attacking him during last night’s Golden Globe Awards.
