The never-ending wave of bad news for disgraced ex-Fox News host Megyn Kelly continued Tuesday when NBC announced that Kelly’s struggling Sunday night show would be returning only “periodically” this spring and summer.

Kelly’s newsmagazine, “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly,” premiered with an eight-episode run in the summer of 2017, but it didn’t stand up to the competition of other primetime shows like “60 Minutes” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” which is just sad. How many of you knew that “America’s Funniest Home Videos” was even still on the air?

Kelly’s show went on a pre-scheduled hiatus to accommodate for NBC’s coverage of “Sunday Night Football” and the Winter Olympics, but is scheduled to return March 9 for her second interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, people were quick to notice in NBC’s press release that the show would not be returning full time.

“This special marks the return of the weekend primetime newsmagazines Kelly will anchor periodically this spring and summer until football season,” the release stated, adding that it is “dependent on Kelly’s schedule with her weekday morning program.”

This is just the latest development in Kelly’s long downhill tumble since leaving Fox News. Her entire time at NBC has been mired in controversy, including rumors of behind-the-scenes abuse at her morning show and reports of unprofessional behavior on Kelly’s part. Indeed, the news that Kelly’s Sunday night show will only return periodically is the latest indicator that her days are numbered at NBC.

Clearly, Kelly just isn’t cut out for NBC – and maybe not anywhere.
