McConnell Taunts Pelosi: She’s ‘Too Afraid’ to Send Articles of Impeachment to Senate

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell teased Nancy Pelosi after the House Speaker announced she would delay sending articles of impeachment to the Senate until she could be assured of a fair hearing.

“We will make our decision as to when we are going to send it when we see what they are doing on the Senate side,” Pelosi said. “So far, we have not seen anything that looks fair to us.”

This, following weeks of Democrats telling America just how ‘urgent’ it was to push through with the impeachment process. This, despite Democrats conducting business in a way that didn’t ‘look fair’ to a majority of America.

“Looks like the prosecutors are getting cold feet,” McConnell quipped.

He accused the House of holding “the most rushed, least thorough and most unfair impeachment inquiry in modern history,” during floor remarks on Thursday and suggested Pelosi might be “too afraid” to transmit “their shoddy work product” to the Senate.

“This particular House of Representatives has let its partisan rage at this particular president create a toxic new precedent that will echo well into the future,” McConnell added.

Trump, Graham Also Taunting Democrats

Senator Lindsey Graham also taunted House Democrats, letting them know their hard work to push through an impeachment sham was going to fall apart rather quickly.

“The impeachment Articles passed by the House of Representatives will meet a quick demise in the Senate,” he tweeted.

Graham was reiterating comments he made last week during a Fox News interview.

“I don’t want to give it any legitimacy because it’s a crock,” he huffed. “My goal is to end this as soon as possible for the good of the country because I think it’s a danger to the presidency to legitimize this.”

President Trump also taunted Pelosi for being “afraid” to move the process along to the Senate.

“Pelosi feels her phony impeachment hoax is so pathetic she is afraid to present it to the Senate,” he wrote on social media. They “can set a date and put this whole scam into default if they refuse to show up!”

More Hypocrisy

Why are Nancy and her resistance minions so nervous about sending articles of impeachment to the Senate? We thought this was an emergency. That President Trump is an imminent threat to national security. That he is a clear and present danger to the republic.

In September, Pelosi argued, “the times have found us today … to place us in the urgency of protecting and defending our constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic.”

Last month, she charged full speed ahead ignoring the 3rd branch of government arguing, “We’re not going to wait till the courts decide. We can’t wait for that.”

Just yesterday morning, Barney Rubble to Pelosi’s Fred Flintstone, House Intel Chair Adam Schiff insisted, “the timing is driven by an urgency.”

He means it was urgent when Democrats had to ram through the weakest impeachment argument in the history of this country through the House, voted on by mindless lemmings.

Now, when they need the Senate to actually help prove the case against Trump, they’ve decided to pump the brakes and hold the process hostage until there are vows to remove the President.
