Maxine Waters Encourages Americans Not to Listen to Trump’s State of the Union

California Congresswoman Maxine Waters says she doesn’t care when President Trump has to say in his State of the Union address. She doesn’t even want to hear it.

When asked by Essence magazine if she would be listening to the speech this evening, Waters replied, “I don’t even know why he wants to come and give the State of the Union.”

“The state of the union under him has not been good,” Waters said.

Apparently Waters hasn’t looked at the current job numbers or doesn’t know that more Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the economy than not.

“And he has been divisive, and I think he’s putting us all in harm’s way. And so he is not worthy of being listened to,” Waters continued.

“I don’t know why anybody would want to pay attention to anything that he has to say. He lies over and over again, like I said. 6,000 lies have been documented since he’s been there. I just can’t imagine what he’s going to try and say!”

“But since he is a great liar, he’ll say anything… because he’s capable of saying anything without facts, without research. And so, I’m not looking forward to his State of the Union, and I hope people will turn the television off!”

While Waters is certainly entitled to her opinion, what’s more uncivil than asking American citizens not to listen to a major address by their president? Why encourage division? It’s not exactly a good example for a public official to set.

Not that setting bad examples is anything new for Waters.

“You push back on them. Tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere!”

Remember this is the same Maxine Waters who claims God is on the Democrats’ side and encouraged people to “push back” on Trump supporters.

“We’re gonna win this battle,” Waters said to crowd in June. “Because while you try and quote the Bible, Jeff Sessions and others, you really don’t know the Bible. God is on our side. On the side of the children. On the side of what’s right. On the side of what’s honorable. On the side of understanding that if we can’t protect the children, we can’t protect anybody.”

Waters then added, “If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. You push back on them. Tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere!”

The state of Maxine Waters is not good.
