On Monday, President Joe Biden was seen during a speech not wearing a mask while coughing into his hand then proceeding to greet event attendees with a handshake.
This happened during a speech promoting the president’s “Build Back Better” campaign at the NJ Transit Meadowlands Maintenance Complex in Kearney, New Jersey.

Biden coughs into his hand before shaking hands with event attendees
CNN reported, “President Joe Biden went to New Jersey to promote his economic agenda on Monday, amid a major week of negotiations with Democrats to pass portions of his sweeping, multi-trillion dollar agenda.”
“The visit offered Biden a chance to pitch both his plans — a bipartisan infrastructure package and a social safety net package — ahead of his travel to Europe for the Group of 20 conference and the United Nations Climate Conference,” the news outlet noted.
At the end of his speech, Biden can clearly be seen coughing into his hand then walking down the stage steps to greet the attendees with a handshake and some close face conversations.
Whether it was a cough or just clearing his throat, this clearly goes against current CDC guidance. There is no evidence of hand sanitizer being used or any other form of hand washing in the video.

Polls show significant numbers of Americans don’t support vaccine mandates
In spite of Biden’s behavior at the event, his administration still insists on mandatory vaccines and promotes wearing masks even for those who have been vaccinated.
However, polls show that many Americans oppose mandates and other COVID-19 actions currently favored by this White House.
The Associated Press reported in late September, “A survey of Americans on President Joe Biden’s plan to require most workers to get either vaccinated or regularly tested for COVID-19 finds a deep and familiar divide: Democrats are overwhelmingly for it, while most Republicans are against it.”
“With the highly contagious delta variant driving deaths up to around 2,000 per day, the poll released Thursday by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research showed that overall, 51% say they approve of the Biden requirement, 34% disapprove and 14% hold neither opinion,” AP noted.

One popular conservative pundit asks if this is how Biden “stops the spread.”
Biden is "stopping the spread" by coughing into his hand and then touching everyone in sight.

While a USA Today journalist questions whether Biden potentially violating his own administration’s public health safety standards should be newsworthy.
Biden coughing into his hand is now what @FoxNews is doing stories on?
When you think they can go no lower, they don’t disappoint.https://t.co/i4lmbN0fH6

Some of us learned proper hygiene in grade school. Some of us follow CDC guidelines.
As for President Biden, we’ll let the video speak for itself.
Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
