Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene fired off a late-night tweet blasting Mitch McConnell as âBidenâs bitchâ over a deal the Senate Minority Leader struck giving Democrats the votes necessary to raise the debt ceiling.
Lawmakers in the Senate voted 50-49 to raise the debt limit by $2.5 trillion.
This happened only after 14 Republicans joined Democrats in offering a one-time exception to suspend the filibuster, allowing Democrats exclusively to vote in favor of raising the debt ceiling.
It was a deal crafted by McConnell (R-KY) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
The House voted approval after midnight, something that clearly angered Greene (R-GA).
âThe House of Representatives is voting after midnight tonight because [McConnell] allowed Democrats to bi-pass the filibuster and ram through the debt ceiling increase to $31.5 TRILLION,â she tweeted.
Added Greene, âMitch is Bidenâs bitch.â

The limit is now very nearly $31 trillion thanks to Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumerâs debt ceiling deal.
Schumer couldnât contain his effusive praise for the top Republican after the deal was passed and will now be sent to President Bidenâs desk for signature.
âAs I have said repeatedly, this is about paying debt accumulated by both parties, so I am pleased Republicans and Democrats came together to facilitate a process that has made addressing the debt ceiling possible,â Schumer said Tuesday.
He thanked McConnell for having âreached out across the aisle in good faith to bring us to this point.â
Aside from Marjorie Taylor Greene calling McConnell âBidenâs bitch,â former President Donald Trump has also voiced his displeasure with his handling of the debt ceiling.
âMitch McConnell is giving the Democrats victory on everything,â Trump warned in a statement over the weekend. âWhat is wrong with this Broken Old Crow?â
âHeâs hurting the Republican Senators and the Republican Party,â he continued. âWhen will they vote him out of Leadership?â

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has called out McConnell over the debt ceiling ploy that allowed Democrats to vote for the $2.5 trillion increase without a single Republican vote.
âWhat Iâm worried about is that for four months the Republican Senate said we would not lift a finger to help the Democrats raise the debt ceiling. We would make them use reconciliation,â Graham told former Fox News host Chris Wallace.
âAt the end, we did not make them use reconciliation, which changed the rules of the Senate in a House bill,â he explained. âI donât like that a lot. ⌠What we did is promised one thing and delivered another.â
Senator Mitch McConnell was listed as âborderlineâ in a recent investigatory piece, titled âConflicted Congress,â in which lawmakers are ranked by how close they are to running afoul of conflict-of-interest laws.
According to the report, two senior staffers have violated the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act.
McConnell has previously referred to Marjorie Taylor Greene as a âcancerâ on the Republican Party.
