Liz Cheney Accuses MAGA Republicans Of Being ‘Pro-Putin, Anti-Semitic, And White Nationalist’

Liz Cheney shared remarks from her campaign spokesman suggesting that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is “protecting” Republicans who are allegedly “pro-Putin” and “anti-Semitic” and “white nationalist.”

Cheney appeared to be attacking popular “MAGA Republicans” Paul Gosar of Arizona and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.

The outburst appears in a CNN report regarding Cheney’s opponent, attorney Harriet Hageman, earning an endorsement from McCarthy.

The move by McCarthy is quite unusual for someone in a leadership position, though he has vowed not to wade into any other primary races beyond Cheney’s – with CNN saying his single exception amounts to “vengeance” against the anti-Trump Republican.

“This is a very special case,” McCarthy said of the move.

The Political Insider covered the endorsement of Hageman in February.

“After spending time with Harriet, it is readily apparent she will always listen and prioritize the needs of her local communities and is focused on tackling our nation’s biggest problems,” McCarthy said.

The Never-Trumper Cheney meanwhile, has almost exclusively been focused on the Capitol riot and failing to do the job she was elected to do by the people of Wyoming.

Cheney’s Favorite Canards

Within the same article discussing McCarthy’s endorsement for Liz Cheney’s primary opponent, her campaign spokesman rails against the Minority Leader for not punishing Reps. Greene and Gosar.

“A leader with honor would be rejecting — not protecting — the pro-Putin, anti-Semitic, white nationalist members of the party, instead of fighting against Liz Cheney for telling the truth,” Cheney spokesman Jeremy Adler told CNN.

Cheney herself tweeted the quote and the accompanying article.

As for being able to turn every news story of the day into a commentary on Trump, Cheney has maintained true to her mission, responding to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine by blaming former President Donald Trump.

Cheney in particular addressed Trump’s comments which the media falsely portrayed as an endorsement of Putin’s ‘genius.’

“Former President Trump’s adulation of Putin today – including calling him a ‘genius’ – aids our enemies,” Cheney tweeted at the onset of the war in Eastern Europe. “Trump’s interests don’t seem to align with the interests of the United States of America.”

Cheney For President

Cheney’s obsession with Trump is beyond parody, now even wading into ‘Russian collusion,’ ‘pro-Putin’ hoax territory.

God love you, Liz. You’re a one-horse pony.

Reports surfaced earlier this month suggesting Cheney might try to primary Donald Trump should he run for the Republican nomination for President again in 2024.

Associates of Cheney are “openly talking up her White House prospects,” according to the Associated Press.

If they’re talking up her prospects, here’s a handy link to a Thesaurus entry for ‘zero.’

The Political Insider reported back in April that Cheney refused to rule out a future run for President of the United States when asked.

“I’m not ruling anything in or out — ever is a long time,” Cheney was quoted as saying.

The comments prompted Senator Josh Hawley to mock the anti-Trump Representative, saying she doesn’t speak for Republicans and has “no support in her own caucus.”
