Lindsey Graham: Biden’s Border Crisis Will Lead To A Republican Resurgence

Senator Lindsey Graham predicted the crisis at the border and President Biden’s ‘radical’ response would cause the Republican party to “come roaring back.”

Graham blasted the President saying he “doesn’t understand what he is doing when it comes to the border.”

In particular, the South Carolina senator took issue with Biden putting Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of the crisis.

“I would gladly work with her, but she doesn’t understand what has generated this problem,” he stated in a Fox News interview.

“This is not a Trump problem,” Graham added. “This is a Biden problem.”

“It’s pretty hard to fix a problem if you don’t know what the problem is,” he predicted. “So, I think the Republican Party is going to come roaring back because this radical agenda will not go well with middle America.”

Will Biden’s Border Crisis Help the GOP?

Graham’s argument that the border crisis could help revitalize the Republican party and their candidates is difficult to argue against.

Donald Trump largely rode a wave of victory in 2016 based on the platform of strengthening border security by promising to build the wall.

American citizens are no doubt infuriated watching the migrant surge at the border due in large part to President Biden’s reversal of his policies.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted the current situation leaves the United States on pace to see the most migrants breaching the border “in the last 20 years.”

Mexican officials have argued the Biden administration has created a “boom time for (drug) cartels.”

“They see him as the migrant president, and so many feel they’re going to reach the United States,” Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said.

It is a crisis completely of Biden’s own doing.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll shows an increasing number of Republican voters (77%) want more fencing along the southern border with Mexico and do not want illegal immigrants to be granted amnesty (56%).

Democrats Need to View the Crisis For Themselves

During a press conference earlier in the week, Senator Graham shredded Democrats for not visiting facilities at the border to see the crisis for themselves.

He particularly took aim at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) who, during Trump’s presidency, referred to illegal alien detainment facilities as ‘concentration camps.’

“Where is AOC? Why aren’t you at the border looking at the things being reported?” Graham asked. “If you were worried about children under Trump being in bad conditions, this is worse.”

Ocasio-Cortez has criticized Biden on social media, stating that regardless of who is in power, the migrant facilities are “not okay.”

But she has yet to stage a photo-op to denounce the conditions at the border.

“The Biden administration did away with the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy that Trump had and by the summer, there is going to be at least a million people knocking on our door at the border unless they reinstate Trump policies,” Graham explained.

If voters want to see law and order improve at the border, there may very well be a Republican party resurgence.

If voters want to see a humanitarian crisis at the border explode out of control, they’ll keep Democrats in power.

It is a stark distinction between the two parties.
