Leftist Comedian Russell Brand: Trump Was Right About Hillary And Russia

Russell Brand says he was "flabbergasted" to learn that Donald Trump was right about Hillary Clinton and the Democrats being behind the largely fictitious Russia collusion narrative that plagued the former President and his campaign for years.

Liberal comedian and actor Russell Brand says he was “flabbergasted” to learn that Donald Trump was right about Hillary Clinton and the Democrats being behind the largely fictitious Russia collusion narrative that plagued the former President and his campaign for years.

Brand, who has made a name for himself in the Hollywood films Get Him To The Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, describes himself as “certainly not a Trump supporter.”

The comedian posted a video upon learning of the indictment of Michael Sussmann, a lawyer that formerly represented the Democrat National Committee (DNC) and has ties to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Sussman had provided what was supposed to have shown evidence of secret communications between then-candidate for president Trump and Russia.

The FBI would eventually determine “those concerns had no merit,” the New York Times reported, and Sussmann was indicted on a charge of lying to the FBI when he insisted he wasn’t providing the information on behalf of any client.

The indictment stated that in reality, Sussman knew “he was acting on behalf of specific clients, namely, Tech Executive-1 and the Clinton Campaign.”

Brand indicated he was shocked to learn that “it was the Clinton campaign and Hillary Clinton acolytes that were directly involved in the generation of what has proven to be a conspiracy.”

Russell Brand Admits Trump Was Wrongly Maligned

Brand pointed out to his viewers that the Russia collusion conspiracy theory, now definitively linked to the Clinton campaign, was also voraciously driven by the mainstream media.

“We have to recollect just how prevalent this story was,” exclaimed Brand. “Every late-night talk show, all over the news, it was just — you were bombarded with it.”

The comedian said the Russia collusion story wasn’t something he paid much attention to, but it affected Trump right up into his reelection bid in 2020.

“It was like, being sort of in a way discussed as if it was just an absolute fact,” lamented Brand.

“To discover that this was propaganda, a construct, a confection by the Democratic Party — who, of course, are now in government — is kind of beyond disappointing, because you begin to question and query what other things may not be true.”

Brand On Media Censorship On Behalf Of Democrats

Russell Brand raised eyebrows months ago when he sided with Trump regarding censorship of the Hunter Biden scandal in the days leading up to the election.

Big Tech censored and removed content about a New York Post article involving emails found on Hunter Biden’s laptop. Emails that appeared to discuss shady business dealings with foreign entities using his father’s influence as Vice President.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey later admitted those actions were wrong during testimony before the Senate. Politico confirmed the Hunter laptop story just last week, nearly a year after it was shut down by the media.

“For me, revelations that there are financial connections between energy companies in … Ukraine, energy companies in China, and the Biden family are troubling. That should be public knowledge,” Brand said in a similar video this past May.

“And it’s even more troubling that Twitter, and Facebook and the media at large deliberately kept it out of the news because they didn’t want it to influence the election,” Brand continued.

The comedian suggested that the effort to suppress information by the Democrats and the media was troubling.

“Look at the relationships between media, social media, and that party,” he said. “They conspired to keep information away from you because it was not convenient to their agenda.”

To quote Bruce Willis in Die Hard, “Welcome to the party, pal.”
