Several Republican members of Congress had their own press conference and rally outside the Department of Justice shut down on Tuesday by aggressive left-wing protesters.
The press conference and rally were held by Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Bob Good (R-VA), and Paul Gosar (R-AZ) were at the DOJ building to protest the treatment of January 6 Capitol riot defendants.
Attorneys for those being held are saying that their clients are not being treated humanely, many of them being held in solitary confinement for up to 23 hours a day.
The heckling began at the event almost immediately:

No Response From U.S. Attorney General
The lawmakers said they sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland regarding their concerns for those being held in connection with the Jan. 6 protest. They say that not only has Garland not responded to the letter, but they have been denied any access to the DOJ building to address him personally.
A portion of the letter described the treatment of the defendants as similar to “abuses of political prisoners in tyrannical third-world countries.”
One of the defendants claims to have been brutally beaten by a D.C. Department of Corrections Officer, and has lost vision in one eye, sustained a skull fracture, and a detached retina.
The officer has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
Before one thinks its a partisan issue, even top progressives like Elizabeth Warren have spoken of the harsh punishment used against the accused.

Response From The Tolerant Left
As the news conference got underway, and the Republican House members called for a status report on those arrested and held on Jan. 6, who they referred to as “political prisoners,” left-wing protesters surrounded them with signs, blowing whistles, and yelling in an attempt to drown out what was being said.
Firebrand Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene was not swayed by the protest. She addressed one man blowing a whistle, “To the guy that’s blowing the whistle: we are not deterred.” She added:
“And so for anyone that’s here, being an activist and yelling today, here’s the statement that I need everyone to understand: we will not back down, we will not stop asking questions, we are looking for the truth. And we believe the truth can be found by reaching out and answering and asking the right questions to the right people.”
An attempt to hold a press conference regarding the treatment of insurrectionists by Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz & comp. was shut down as it started by protesters.

The left-wing protesters held signs saying “Traitors and Rapists Sit Down” and “Pedophiles for Trump” according to the Daily Caller.
The heckling became so intense that the press conference was broken up:
