Yesterday we reported that RNC spokesman Sean Spicer was on the short list to serve as President-elect Donald J. Trump’s White House Press Secretary.
We have now learned that a new name has emerged as a possible contender for the position, Fox News’ Kimberly Guilfoyle, who co-hosts the popular show The Five.
According to reports, Guilfoyle met with top Trump staffers at Trump Tower for lunch last week, but did not meet with the President-elect personally. She is expected to return to Trump Tower this week, but it is unknown if she will meet with Trump or not.

From Politico:
While Republican National Committee and Trump transition spokesman Sean Spicer is considered the front-runner for the top communications job, some are still quietly pushing for Guilfoyle, a Latina who is a former assistant district attorney in San Francisco.
Some in Trump’s inner circle have argued that Guilfoyle, who is half-Puerto Rican, would be a more sympathetic face when flacking some of Trump’s more divisive stances on immigration and pro-life issues.
“Do you want a white male representing the White House when half the country thinks the President is a misogynist?” said a Guilfoyle champion in Trump’s inner circle.
“Who do you want talking about Immigration? A Latino. When you have to make decisions about pro-life justices, do you want a man or a woman?”
Guilfoyle has a friendly relationship with Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner, as well as Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon, his former deputy campaign manager, David Bossie, and his finance team adviser Anthony Scaramucci.

Last week it was reported that Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway turned down an offer to serve as White House Press Secretary, leaving the door wide open. Other names that have been floated around for the job include conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, Fox News’ Monica Crowley, and Katrina Pearson, who served as the campaign spokesman.
Eric Bolling, who serves as one of Guilfoyle’s co-hosts on The Five has had several meetings with Trump’s transition team in recent weeks but apparently turned down a job with the administration.

This is a no brainer Mr. Trump: Katrina Pearson all the way, she’s beautiful, bold, and multi-cultural background but most of all stands behind your decisions like a rock.

Neither Trump nor any of his representatives should be allowing false assumptions by Trump’s detractors to influence who they choose to be Trump’s Press Secretary. Such a choice should be based exclusively on the qualifications of the person being considered.
Who cares what “half the country” thinks?
At least half the country wanted Hillary for president!
I’ve been in love with this beauty ever since laying eyes on her on FOX. Dark-haired Latino women kill me good! She’s also so smart it’s scary.Pick her, DT!
Norman: High intelligence and good looks are no guarantee of high quality of character.
There are still a handful of really good Fox contributors left. Any one of them would be BRILLIANT!
I’d go for Tucker Carlson. He could put the rest of the press down in a flash.
Great choice and a real upset to the Liberals… LOOOOOOVE IT! Go Trump!
TERRIFIC choice! What a pleasure to see her in action…sharp mind…professional…easy on the eyes…a true Conservative…articulate and not evasive.
I’ll miss her on FOX News. But worth it!
Super choice, she knows how to stand-up for Truth, Honesty and Justice. I mean look at how she stands-up to the DEM Williams daily.
Kimberly Guilfoyle would be an excellent choice. I would make her the sole reporter/speaker for The Donald’s administration. Cut out MSN Media totally and let the truth be spoken by one person who is trustworthy.
Trump will no do that unless he has changed his expressed beliefs and promises.

After 8 years of watching effeminate wooses give Bammie’s news releases it’s refreshing to see someone worth watching and, from her past history on Fox, worth listening to. Score another win for Trump and a giant raspberry to the clan of the whiners, the socialist party, aka democrat.
They should have made Kellyanne head of the RNC, not Romney’s daughter! I’ll promise you one thing, Kimberly will not take any guff from the Lib Reporters, she’ll boot them out I a heartbeat!
Guilfoyle would do a great job. But the truth be known, the MSM isn’t going to say anything good about anyone in that position or any other position….the MSM is the propaganda arm of the DNC… and will call anything the administration does, evil….that is unless Trump does exactly as the MSM & the DNC tell him to do….period!
IMNSHO, Laura Ingraham will bring a lot to the Trump administration.
Guilfoyle or Crowley have my vote, for what its worth :)
I think Monica Crowley is the best choice. She is highly intelligent and articulate and has voiced the conservative agenda well.
Why does this question of male vs female or any form of it have to be asked? Laura Ingram was my favorite but Kimberly certainly is qualified as she has proven on The Five. I do not care for Spicer FOR THIS JOB, I don’t know why-haven’t put my finger on it yet. Maybe Kimberly would put a little more energy into the job – the press secretary now is soooooooooo boring and just does not have the brains for the job – thank goodness he will be out shortly.
There are better choices out there but it really doesn’t matter the Press Sect. reads whats put in front of them and Kimberly is good at that .
She would be an excellent choice, but, I love her on the “5”… She makes that show.. I love her quick responses.. What ever she chooses, I hope it benefits her in the best way…
I like her style.
She’s cute. So I think I will watch the Press briefings a lot more if she is the one doing them.
Excellent choice. Pick her
More involved here than the SCOTUS, pro-life & immigration. We have international, domestic and legal issues that are best addressed with “testosterone” for our CINC. A deep, calm sonorous voice, wry sense of humor, authoritative national/global perspectives and awareness seem more appropriate during this “Soft Wars” era and resurgent “Cold War”. We must address this from a “what’s that other country’s “spokes(man)person” like. This position must never be considered misandrous nor misogynous, only controlled information-passing and gathering without gender-bias. if one considers most major “TV anchors”, I offer this:
“According to Jasmine Romero, an ABS-CBN field reporter, male news anchors dominate the industry and compared to the women, they have more authority (J. Romero, Personal Communication, September 2012). She also said that they are more charming when compared to women and that most broadcasting companies prefer male reporters over females. She was also able to mention how the male reporters are more likely to cover harder news – news on politics, economics and the like. Aside from this, they are more likely to report about lead stories as well as the longer stories (Soderlund et al, 1989). In 2010, several unnamed netizens or online users noted that male news reporters need not be young and handsome and that they are judged based on their intellect and not their appearance.”

EXCELLENT CHOICE!
