Internet mogul Kim Dotcom teased a major announcement about murdered DNC staffer and possible WikiLeaks source, Seth Rich.

Dotcom had earlier hinted that he had contact with Rich and that he believed Rich was the source of the DNC emails sent to WikiLeaks. These emails implicated the Democrat establishment in conspiring against Bernie Sanders to give the nomination to Hillary Clinton, among other revelations.

After conferring with his legal team, Dotcom has released a new statement on Rich, doubling down on his belief that Rich was the source of the emails:

I know this because in late 2014 a person contacted me about helping me to start a branch of the Internet Party in the United States. He called himself Panda. I now know that Panda was Seth Rich.

Sean Hannity has been all over the Rich story and his urging his followers to read Dotcom’s statement:

He also promises to cover it on his show:

Dotcom also announced that he is prepared to give a full statement to the authorities.

I accept that my full statement should be provided to the authorities and I am prepared to do that so that there can be a full investigation.

But there’s a catch

If my evidence is required to be given in the United States I would be prepared to do so if appropriate arrangements are made. I would need a guarantee from Special Counsel Mueller, on behalf of the United States, of safe passage from New Zealand to the United States and back.

Dotcom faces extradition to the United States. He faces charges related to his defunct MegaUpload website. Dotcom wants to cut a deal with the United States that secures his freedom in exchange for his testimony and statement.

It seems unlikely that the US government will take him up on this offer. However, they would be wise to take Dotcom’s statement. Any evidence he might have regarding the hacking of the DNC could be a massive political earthquake. One thing is for sure – we are just getting started with this WikiLeaks story!

Will Dotcom be able to give his statement to the US government? Will they accept his terms? Share your thoughts in the comments below
