Kellyanne Conway Dismisses Husband’s Trump-Bashing Column, Says Claims of Racism Are ‘Tired’

Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway dismissed her husband’s op-ed decrying President Trump as a bigot, adding that Democrat claims of racism have grown “tired.”

On Monday, the Washington Post ran an op-ed by George Conway, a man who has grown into a virulent opponent of the President over the years, but who had supposedly refused to view him as racist.

“No matter how much I came to dislike him, I didn’t want to think that the president of the United States is a racial bigot,” Conway wrote. “But Sunday left no doubt.”

Sunday, Bloody Sunday

What happened Sunday? President Trump made comments, relatively mundane comments at that, which suggested a group of ‘progressive Democrats’ complaining about America were free to leave the country.

The second-best Conway in the relationship was so aghast at the statements, words which proud patriots have said time and again when watching anti-American protesters denounce their country, that he had but one conclusion.

Orange man bad.

In fact, Conway made the baseless claim that Trump’s words were on par with using the n-word.

“Naivete, resentment and outright racism, roiled in a toxic mix, have given us a racist president,” he wrote. “Trump could have used vile slurs, including the vilest of them all, and the intent and effect would have been no less clear.”

Kellyanne Not On Board

Mrs. Conway, in an appearance on “America’s Newsroom” Tuesday, swatted away her husband’s claim that Trump is racist, noting that she knows him far better than her spouse.

“I totally disagree,” she said.

“But I work with this president,” she added in an attempt to soften the blow for George. “I know him. I know his heart, I know his actions. I know how much he has helped people of color and I go by what people do, not what other people say about them.”

It should be noted that aside from providing historic job numbers, minorities have benefitted in other areas under the Trump administration, particularly in the area of criminal justice reform.

The President has been an avid advocate of prison reform, supported The First Step Act, sentencing reforms, and hosted a Prison Reform Summit where he sought input from over 100 activists, experts, and policymakers. He also issued a pardon to Alice Marie Johnson, demonstrating his sincerity on the matter.

Mrs. Conway added that Democrats, in general, have run out of arguments against Trump so they resort to low-brow reactions.

“It’s always racism, sexism and xenophobia and it’s getting tired,” she said.

Conway a ‘Stone Cold Loser’

Mr. Conway has long been critical of the President on social media, describing some of Trump’s behavior as “absurd” and expressing criticism of Trump’s immigration policies.

He actually came to the President’s defense when a former adviser accused him of using racial slurs.

Those allegations, however, were just as ridiculous and absurd as what Conway is suggesting about the President today.

Trump has lashed out at Conway in the past, mocking him as “Mr. Kellyanne Conway” and calling him “a stone-cold loser [and] husband from hell.”

We think he may have been on to something there.

  • Another escape animal from the circus. He almost looks like the chimp in the movie Tobey Tyler. He short, pudgy, runs his mouth a lot; and definitely one ugly POS. Perhaps, if you cut his banana rations in half you can get him under control. But so far, he's been a very, very, naughty monkey.

  • How did she get involved with this putz? She is way out of his league. He’ll always be known as Mr Kelly Ann. He’s a loser.

  • George Conway is a pig for making his wife's position in the White House any more difficult than it has to be. He has no respect for her by bad mouthing her boss, our President. George is buddies with the Bushs', Romneys', and all of the globalists never Trumpers. Disgraceful that these people put their businesses before our country.

  • C'mon Kelly, you set the bar pretty low marrying this loser, you could find someone better by tomorrow afternoon.

  • Little George is so jealous that he cannot contain himself. One of these days...he is going to explode.

  • How is she still married to this "guy" who looks more like a hamster with a mouth full of food ?
