Kathy Griffin Reminds Everyone She’s Still Not Sorry About Vile Trump Photo

Ya know, I may just have to reverse my position on the comedic chops of Kathy Griffin. Specifically, she does appear to be a very funny comedienne. Funny because she actually thinks she’s still relevant.

In a BBC World News interview, Griffin, sporting a hair style that may indicate she’s trying out for a tribute band to the Eurythmics, doubled down on rescinding her apology to Donald Trump for posting a picture of her holding the President’s severed head.

“I’m not sorry,” she insisted. “I take the apology back 1,000 percent.”

“The reason I made the apology is when the image went out, I thought people would just think, ‘That’s Kathy doing another shocking image,'” Griffin continued. “I’ve done many throughout my entire career, and I’ve done many shocking things.”

Perhaps even more noteworthy than her apology, since it was readily apparent she wasn’t sorry for her actions from the onset, is the admission that she knew exactly what she was doing when she posted the photo.

“When I won my first Emmy I said, ‘Suck it, Jesus, because this award is my God now!’” she bragged. “And you know, the conservatives took ads out it the papers. That’s what they like to spend their time and money on. So yes, I knew what I was doing.”

In her initial faux apology video, Griffin seemed surprised by the reaction to something she ‘knew’ would be shocking.

“I am just now seeing the reaction [to] these images,” she claimed.

In August, Griffin retracted the apology for the first time saying “The whole outrage was B.S.”

“Stop acting like my little picture is more important than talking about the actual atrocities that the president of the United States is committing,” Griffin said, seemingly serious.

That ‘little picture’ caused Griffin to eventually be fired from just about every gig – minor as they may have been. Even Squatty Potty wanted nothing to do with her.

Now she claims she continues to receive death threats and still can’t get a job in the U.S., though she’s currently touring in Europe. Perhaps they can keep her across the pond.

Are you surprised that Kathy Griffin has taken back her apology? Tell us your thoughts below!
