ABC’s “The View” cut abruptly to a commercial break after host Joy Behar used a segment remembering the life of George H.W. Bush to attack President Trump.
Meghan McCain, one of the show’s token conservatives, took offense to Behar invoking the current president while the other chatty hosts were remembering the outstanding life and accomplishments of President Bush. Just as McCain started to call her out, Behar shouted back and the whole thing devolved into a screeching mess. Whoopi had to intervene by calling for a commercial break.
Bush versus Trump history
It’s no secret that Bush and Trump are the polar opposites when it comes to temperament and attitude. Bush was a genial elitist with little regard for Trump’s brash and blunt populism. They have a history of using not-so-nice language about each other. “I don’t like him. I don’t know much about him, but I know he’s a blowhard,” the late Bush once said about Trump. “I like George Bush very much and support him and always will. But I disagree with him when he talks of a kinder, gentler America. I think if this country gets any kinder or gentler, it’s literally going to cease to exist,” Trump remarked about Bush during his presidency back in 1990.

Behar shamelessly attacks Trump during Bush remembrance
Still, there are some Trump haters out there who are using Bush’s death as a cudgel with which to bash Trump. Joy Behar, who might possibly have the biggest case of Trump Derangement Syndrome on planet earth, tried to do just that, and interrupted a segment on her show honoring Bush to voice her opposition to the President.

Wow. It’s wild watching Behar bring Bush’s dead body out on live TV and use it slam Trump over the head.
OK, she didn’t literally do that, but it sure seemed like it. Behar is so infected by Trump Derangement Syndrome that she can’t let any topic, no matter how sacred or sensitive, go without mentioning the big orange meanie in the Oval Office.
It’s sad. But it’s all too typical of liberals nowadays.
