Journalist Tina Dupuy Accuses Senator Al Franken of Groping Her

<> on November 30, 2017 in Washington, DC.

Let there be no doubt about it: Minnesota senator Al Franken will be resigning tomorrow for his mistreatment of women.

Earlier today, another woman broke her silence about abuse she suffered at the hands of Franken. This latest account was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Democrats en masse broke with Franken, and demanded his resignation.

The senator is supposed to be giving an announcement tomorrow, presumably about stepping down. Now, it looks like he won’t have a choice. Another accuser has emerged, and shared her story about Franken’s perversion this afternoon in the pages of The Atlantic.

Journalist Tina Dupuy says that Franken grabbed her inappropriately during an inauguration party for Barack Obama. Here’s her harrowing description:

“D.C. was decked out and packed in for the inauguration of a young and popular new president. The town was buzzing with optimism, and one of the many events on our list was a swanky Media Matters party with Democratic notables everywhere. Then I saw Al Franken. I only bug celebrities for pictures when it’ll make my foster mom happy. She loves Franken, so I asked to get a picture with him. We posed for the shot. He immediately put his hand on my waist, grabbing a handful of flesh. I froze. Then he squeezed. At least twice.”

That settles it. Every prior accusation against Franken has followed a similar pattern. He gets close to women, whether they’re asking for a photo or just saying hello, and he grabs them. The M.O. is plain as day.

Here’s my question: What took so damn long for Democrats to demand his resignation?

Multiple women accused Franken of groping them, kissing them, and violating their personal space without consent. Why did today’s earlier revelations finally take down Franken? Why did Democrats act in unison to call for his resignation?

This all smells funky.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s good Democrats wised up and called for Franken to step down. It shouldn’t have taken this long, though.

Share this breaking news with others now! Franken’s career is kaput!
