J.J. Watt Delivers Jersey to Boy After EMT’s Cut Open His Jersey

JJ Watt delivers jersey

8-year-old Noah Fulmer found himself in an accident and had to be rushed to the hospital on New Year’s Eve. It was serious and something had to be done to get him prepped and ready for surgery.

You would think that young Noah would be upset because of the accident, the pain, the injury to his legs? No! Fulmer was upset the EMT’s cut his favorite Houston Texans J.J. Watts football jersey to treat his injuries.

Noah was in such a dangerous place and one of his family members tweeted Watts and explained what happened. To his surprise, Watts answered and not only sent a replacement jersey but the NFL star also did the next best thing.

From Liftable:

On New Year’s Eve, a driver in a truck crashed into two parked vehicles on Matagorda Beach in Texas. One of the cars hit the 8-year-old boy, Noah Fulmer, his younger sister, and two other family members.

Noah was rushed to the hospital because he was badly injured. At the ER, they had to cut off his favorite number 99 JJ Watt Texans jersey, which made Noah cry the hardest.

“He didn’t want that jersey to be cut,” said Noah’s dad, Cory Fulmer. “He was screaming and crying, and he was putting up a fight for his jersey.”

Noah had to have two surgeries, because his injures consisted of two broken legs and a mangled foot. He is expected to make a full recovery.

One of Noah’s cousins tweeted Watt sharing with him what had happened to Noah. And to their surprise Watt tweeted back.

Watt tweeted “Tell him I’ll bring a new jersey tomorrow.” And Watt is a man of his word!

Watt showed up right after Noah’s surgery and presented the boy with a new number 99 Texans jersey. The family tweeted a picture of all of them around Noah’s bed with Watt.

Noah is moving around now. His family members wanted to update everyone including Watt his progress. Here’s the video below:

I am glad Noah is doing so much better and hopefully he’ll be able to shed that chair really soon and walk with JJ Watt on the Houston Texans’ football field. Watt is a great individual for taking time out of his busy schedule and reaching out to a fan whose multiple injuries took a back seat to an NFL jersey.

What do you think of Watts and his generosity? How about this strong little kid who didn’t care about his injuries? Share your feelings below in the comment section and add this story to your Facebook and Twitter page.
