Jen Psaki Argues Florida Latinos Duped by Spanish-Speaking Media

It’s the day after election day, and I don’t know about you guys, but my coffee is just not strong enough this morning. It was an underwhelming night for the Republican Party as the alleged ‘red wave’ or ‘red tsunami’ was more of a ‘red sprinkling.’

But, if you live in Florida, particularly Miami-Dade County, you might still be drying yourself off from the red splash zone as Governor Ron DeSantis overwhelmingly shellacked on again-off again Democrat Charlie Crist.

While I don’t think anyone was concerned that Governor DeSantis would lose, there were quite a few mainstream media folks who were shocked to see what was once a blue stronghold go decidedly red.

Instead of believing that the Republican Governor could clinch Miami-Dade and the Latino vote due to his ability to weather COVID, a hurricane, and inflation, one particular MSNBC pundit thinks it’s probably due to something else.

Apparently, Florida Latinos are just dumb!.

It’s Disinformation!

Former White House Press Secretary turned MSNBC mouthpiece Jen Psaki tweeted last night shortly before Governor Desantis and Senator Marco Rubio were declared the winners by huge margins:

“The Latino vote is not the same everywhere! There are huge generational differences and in Florida population of older voters (more likely Rs) much larger than younger. Socialism does not play there. And there is a massive disinformation problem in Spanish language media.”

Here we go, typical move from the left; instead of looking introspectively at messaging and policies, it’s easier to take the lazy way out and call large swathes of minorities dumb. There were so many great clap backs to Psaki’s tweet.

Still, my favorite comes from Americano Media host Lourdes Ubieta who pointed out:

“There is indeed a disinformation problem on some Spanish language media – mostly Univision, Telemundo and CNN Espanol repeating the lies out of the Biden White House.”

It is interesting to note that far-left billionaire political meddler extraordinaire George Soros is actively trying to purchase the conservative Miami-based Spanish-language radio Mambi. Gee, I wonder why he might be trying to do that.

So Insulting

This tactic of calling constituents dumb is fascinating; I’m curious if the Democrats think this is a solid strategy. So let’s take a quick trip out of Florida for a spell and head to Georgia.

Gubernatorial candidate and highly successful loser Stacy Abrams teed up her excuse for what she had to know was going to be yet another loss to Governor Brian Kemp. Apparently, black men in Georgia are too dumb to know what they should care about:

“Unfortunately, this year, black men have been a very targeted population for misinformation about what they want but about why they want what they deserve.”

Biden advisor Keisha Lance Bottoms doubled down on this theory, stating:

“There is definitely a target towards African-American men, not just to give them misinformation but to make them so discouraged that they won’t show up to vote.”

It’s fascinating that nobody can give concrete examples of this misinformation or disinformation. I suppose it doesn’t matter; after all, most of us would be too dumb to understand.

It’s Called Diversity, Stupid

Leading up to yesterday’s midterms tons of liberal pundits were scratching their heads as to why certain minority groups weren’t behaving according to what the Democratic Party expects.

Joy Reid tweeted out when polls were showing Latino voters were trending towards Governor Desantis:

“Sociopolitically, Florida is basically morphing into Brazil.”

I could do an entire article explaining how Florida is not morphing into Brazil. Then you have The Atlantic’s Jemele Hill, who tries to explain away the Latino Republican trend as follows:

“That proximity to whiteness is a real thing. Also reminds me of an adage I heard a long time ago about how the oppressed begin to take on the traits of the oppressor.”

Oh, for Pete’s sake, have either of you ever actually spent time in Florida and then time in a totalitarian country?

But, then, of course, you have one of my favorite ladies from “The View,” Sunny Hostin, who said:

“I don’t understand black Republicans, and I don’t understand Latino Republicans.”

Ms. Ubieta explains what the left’s problem is when it comes to understanding Latinos who lean right versus left when she gives Jen Psaki some credit, stating:

“But Jen is right about the diversity of the Hispanic vote – we’re different in many ways, but none of us are Biden breakfast tacos.”

It’s that simple. Americans, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, economic status, or education status, are generally multi-dimensional and can care about more than one issue. For being the party that drones on and on about diversity, they sure need help understanding what the word means.

Giddy and Gleeful

Today Jen Psaki seemed to be beaming, stating:

“I’ve been in touch with the White House. They are giddy and gleeful, as they should be, about where things are sitting right now.”

It sounds like conditions are ripe for quite the ice cream party in the West Wing today. The vision of a giddy and gleeful Joe Biden doesn’t quite inspire confidence in our principal Executive.

While they may be breathing a massive sigh of relief in Democratic circles, what is undoubtedly scratching at the back of their brains is what happened in Florida. Governor DeSantis is the first GOP Governor to win Miami-Dade in two decades

In his victory speech that he belted over loud chants of “two more years,” an obvious nod and desire for the Governor to run for President in 2024, he proclaimed:

“The people have delivered their verdict: Freedom is here to stay. Now, thanks to the overwhelming support of the people of Florida we not only won this election; we have rewritten the political map.”

Jen, Joy, Sunny, Stacy… keep telling yourself that minorities who vote for Republicans are ignorant. You’ll find yourselves not so giddy or gleeful come 2024. I feel what we saw in Florida last night is just a preview of things to come from DeSantis.

Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
