Not long after Donald Trump made good on his promise to crack down on sanctuary cities, Chicago – the bloody murder capital of the country – is taking the president to court over the matter.
But that’s not the worst of it.
As President Trump attempts to enforce federal law within a Democrat stronghold, he’s fighting against an unexpected enemy.
The city of Chicago has hired a law firm that has put attorney Jamie Gorelick on the case.
Gorelick actually represented Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, during the Russia investigation.
So just what side is she on?

Jamie Gorelick, the Hillary Clinton-supporting superlawyer representing Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, is now working pro bono for the city of Chicago in its lawsuit against the Department of Justice.
Chicago is suing the DOJ over President Trump’s policies regarding federal grants for so-called sanctuary cities. Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced last month that cities that receive federal crime-fighting grants must also cooperate with U.S. immigration agencies regarding illegal aliens.
This is worrisome news.
President Trump is surrounded on all sides by people he can’t trust. People within his Administration are leaking sensitive information to the press, hoping to undermine the Trump agenda.
And now it looks like a lawyer close to the family is playing both sides.
