Here’s the Proof FBI Director Jamey Comey’s Memo is a Lie

President Donald Trump is under fire after an explosive report in the New York Times quoted a memo from former FBI Director James Comey indicating Trump had asked him to cease the federal investigation into Michael T. Flynn. The memo was allegedly penned after a meeting Comey had with Trump in February, with Comey writing in the memo afterwards that Trump said “I hope you can let this go,” in regards to the Flynn investigation. The meeting occurred the day after Flynn resigned.

The usual chorus of Democrats (i.e. all of them) are calling for impeachment in response to the news, but even a Republican representative is for the first time as well (under the condition that the claims turn out true): Justin Amash.

However, if the Times were hoping to use Comey as a pawn to take down Trump – they’ve shot Comey in the foot in the process. Contradicting Comey’s memo is none other than Comey himself – under oath.

Former FBI Director James Comey testified under Senate oath May 3rd that the Trump administration had not pressured his agency to halt any investigation for political purposes. Comey admitted that the FBI has always been free to operate without political interference—flying in the face of Democrats’ paranoid delusions about Russia and President Donald J. Trump, and exposing for what it is a new political witch hunt Wednesday by enemies within the president’s own Justice Department.

Videotaped testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee blows apart the phony narrative New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt wove on Tuesday, which resulted in Mueller’s appointment. Schmidt’s only sources were anonymous. They claimed that on Feb. 14th, the day after National Security Adviser Michael Flynn resigned, Trump had asked Comey to end an investigation into Flynn’s connections to Russia.

Can an FBI investigation be halted? “In theory.”

Has Comey ever been told to stop an investigation for a political reason? It hasn’t happened in his experience.

There are only two scenarios that explain this away, and neither is ideal for Comey. Either he lied in his memo – or he lied under sworn testimony. In either case there was a lie, and it’ll further call into question his honestly in other matters – like his lengthy investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, and his decision not to prosecute her.
